Reniaa I suggest if you haven't already, do some research. Look up Horrus vs. Jesus, it's mind blowing. Hope it helps you out, sounds like you might need it.
Best of Luck,
Sarah
as ive made it known on this board, my current status with the watchtower bible and tract society is that of inactive.
this is a loophole i have utilized, to keep an open channel of communication with family members in the organization.. i want to clarify with everyone: i do not hold any doctrinal ideas, theology, ideology, opinions expressed in any form by the wtbts.
therefore, to simply put, i do not believe in the wtbts in any way, shape, or form.

In the early 1920’s, a featured public talk presented by Jehovah’s Witnesses was entitled "Millions Now Living Will Never Die." "This may have reflected overoptimism at that time"
Ha! Interesting Oompa thanks for sharing, does anyone know how to turn off the highlighter doh!

Ahahahaha this is awesome, you guys are hilarious! If anyone else has anthing to add about this years convention I'd really appreciated it. My sister hasn't returned any phone calls since hers and Im a little worried, it's very unlike her. My dad and I have recently been given the title "apostates" from other family members so I was wondering if there was anything to do with that.
Cheers,
Sarah

This thread has gotten nuts, all Warlock was doing was sharing an experience, back off. He's allowed to state his opinion. Warlock, consider the sources, keep on posting I like to hear what you have to say.
All the best,
Sarah
Hahaha yes!! There was a woman who thought she was an opera singer and would also domminate the watch tower study with her long winded answers. My dad use to write songs about her durring the meeting and my mom would freak out because she was worried the brother handling the mic's would see hahahaha. It was very entertaining to us kids hehehe!
i'm a long time lurking of this site(2 years) and a first time poster.
to provide a little background of myself i was not raised as a witness but started studying when i was 19 and got baptized at age 21. a few months after i was baptized i left due to the constant worship of the faithful and discreet slave and the lack of emphasis on christ.
for reasons i'm not sure about yet i decided to attend the district convention last week.
Well said Flipper!

Hey Blue Grass,
I can definitely sympathize with you, I yo yo'd back and forth because of the social asspect of it. You shouldn't be a part of a religion for social reasons that's not why you go to the meetings. That's how they hook you. My sister is always trying to get me to go back by baiting me with social outings. It may take awhile but you will find excellent people out there. There are just as many good people outside as there are inside the "truth". The bad ones outside are just more honest lol. I can speak from experience that the young ones in the hall aren't always what they seem, there are a lot of double lives going on inside the organization. Have faith, I was in the same perdicament (excuse my horrid spelling). I'm 24 years old and have been out of the religion for five years, while I still have my ups and downs I am much happier now. I have found wonderful people to share my time with that don't do drugs, go to clubs ect. If you are ever up in Canada pm me we'll introduce you to some awesome people!
Lots of love,
Sarah :o)
