many millions who have lived in centuries past and who were not jehovah's witnesses will come back in a resurrection and have an opportunity for life.

Do you think the WTS purposely designs "doublespeak" into their teachings, or is it just the many different writers not checking each others work? If it's the former, then they are truly evil. If it's the latter, how can they be guided by Christ? JW's would say that "yes, they make mistakes", but there is too many anomolies in WTS teachings to pass off as just "mistakes" in my opinion.

I've already decided for myself that the WTS is not God's org., but it would be interesting to know the true motives of the WTS.

probably we've all talked ourselves out, reached our own conclusions by now.. personally, i'm so tired of everything at this point.

Hey Path,

I understand completely. I post on sites like this because I can relate to others in the same boat. But, I've moved on. I don't worry about the WTS anymore, although I am somewhat concerned about others getting involved. Well, people make poor decisions. No one was there to tell me in my ignorance that I was probably making a mistake by becoming a witness. But then, do we need that? Or, should we make more informed choices.(speaking about those who had a choice, that is)

I expect that your concerns about the WTS will fade after a while. I know now that the WTS is a poor excuse for "God's organization". It's bogus, some call it a cult, and it can be damaging to family and friends. The sooner you can find other positive activities to fill the void, the better. There is much the "world" has to offer. Things that I missed out on in my eleven years of bondage. I'm glad to be free from the WTS, and I'm glad I can make positive choices on my own without the borg's help. We all have the ability to do that.

p.s. This reminds me, I think I'll scrap the handle "dubby" for my initials, T.R.

so how long have all you guyz here been apostates anyway, just curious?.i mean, it must be kind of cool to reflect and think...."well, heck, i'm a damned freaking apostate" or altleast a closet apostate, of which most of you are, i think?, right?.yeah, such a cool label is "apostate" huh!.but i'm interested, just how did all here personnally come to realise 'the truth' aint really that?, what set you on that track and made you look outside the bounds of wt literature into so-called apostate areas.. and what finally convinced you that its all just a heap of nonsense?

and forced you to shockingly conclude you had been living a lie?.what did it do to you at that moment, i mean, how did you deal with this blatant self admission that the wt was wrong?

Well said, Path.

In a nutshell, my experience is one of burnout. Having an "unbelieving wife" and three kids, trying to teach the kids, trying to be a good ministerial servant and accounts servant. I couldn't please anyone it seemed, so I used our moving as an excuse for fading away. I asked the elders not to recommend me in the new congregation as an M.S. I had to take care of my family first. Then I got on the net. End of JW career.

hey you guys...what's up?.

i'm new here..spending most of my time on another board(followed someone here)...but i would like to drop in from time to time..if that's cool!.

i've been associated with jw's since '72...baptized in '74(just under the wire ;o)...part of those years serving as an elder and now...well...that's a loooong story!...just let me say that i had/have issues.. but we will not talk about those now!!

on the the back of awake june22 is a short little story!.

last year, in maryland, u.s.a, a man politely refused the wt and awake magazines.his younger, however asked if she could have them, and the father said that she could.the two cleaning their car and putting trash in a nearby trash container[in other words a dumpster].

concerned that the magazines might be discarded, the witness who offered them decided to return later[in other words late at night/early morning] and check the container[container is such a nice word...but in reality its called a dumpster...].

When I was street witnessing several years ago, This guy bought the WT & Awake! to make change for the bus. He then boarded. A few minutes later, a JW got off the same bus and handed me the rags I just sold. "he threw them in the garbage can on the bus", the dub said.
