i realize that if you are first leaving, this is a big deal.
And the year used by the WTS. (607 BCE ) had absolutely nothing to do with Russell's idealogical assertions
formulated by Pyramidology theories to bring more significance to 1914.
Perhaps Scholar hasn't been schooled on that particular segment of Watchtower teachings.
Maybe he should inquire about getting a BS in Pyramidology so he can offer his enlightenment and understanding.

By the way I received this light through constant prayer, in case anyone was wondering
just this week after being separated a little over two months....and funny cause i just got a pm from a newbie about what it is like to leave all...including your wife or husband....anyway, i spent the day with my wife and we talked about it...it is so sad....even though we are very different in natures...i again concluded there is enough in common to be happy and grow old and avoid the very high costs to both of a divorce....except we just cant figure out how to have totally separate friends and social lives....that is kinda big and may still be the deal breaker....soooooo frustrating and infuriating..........oompa.

leaving was terribly hard as my wife is a wonderful and attractive person...my 22 year old son is also a good dub...and my parents are not real old yet and he is a hardcore elder.
Its a hard decision to handle which ever way you look at it, weigh carefully the pro and cons but do so,
with intension befitting both of yourselves with honesty and good will.

Sad to hear of this stressful situation between your wife and yourself.
Unfortunately when it comes to the WT organization, what is wrong for your relationship
with your wife and yourself is justifiably right for the organization.
This is why so many married JWS couples divorce when there is division with religious ideologies.
The best way to approach the situation is to separate yourself from this relationship completely
in a adult and responsible manner, which would be beneficial toward both you and your ex-partner.
In that way you can both find your path to happiness, although in separate and different directions.

i had doubts about some doctrines for years - but not until after leaving the witnesses was i free to be able to confirm my suspicions and see that yes, i did have valid reasons to have doubts all those years .
For myself it was the commercialized lies and manipulations set froth by the WTS. concerning 1975,
there was absolutely nothing in the bible to support that after 6000 years of mans existence,
the beginning of the seventh millennium , Christ kingdom would be established.
Added to the fact it is technically impossible to derive at an accurate number through the use of the bible
or documented archaeological evidence right back to Adam and Eve.
This lying manipulation was orchestrated by the WTS. to help in the circulation of their literature
creating both financial wealth and power for the individuals who sat on top of the tower.
After witnessing a couple of young JWS commit suicide during and around 1975 it was
impressed upon me to investigate and evaluate this organization with an open mind,
I left in disgust.

I guess tainted truths and beliefs are hard to let go of when they offer you something in return.

Yes the Scholar dances around with unreserved devotion to his master the Watchtower Corporation
and his accredited scholarship in theology is tainted with basis toward that company.
I would like to hear his scholarly academic report on how this Corporation came up
with an accurate time calculation of mans existence on earth of 6000 years ending
in the fall of 1975. Sounds like he has acquired his degree in theology from inside a box of Corn Flakes.
