i realize that if you are first leaving, this is a big deal.
The fact is religious charlatans will indeed lie and make self serving speculations when it
comes to marketing their own products to the public. The WTS went even further than this
in a way to construct their own kingdom of sorts to empower themselves.
And you know what it actually worked.

Whats interesting about the hierarchy of the JWS they would really like every JWS or non - JWS to forget about 1914
and " The Generation " doctrine.
Being that convoluted bullshit isn't really suppose to come out of god's only solemn organization here on earth.
i give the movie a 6.5 score.
the scenery was wonderful, but the plot was not zipped up well.
it sort of follows the story-line of "dances with wolves", but in space.. .
Being that the movie is science fiction fantasy, I most likely wont see it.
Something entertaining for the youngsters, perhaps.
I did enjoy James Camerons other movie Titanic though

The year stated by the WTS. of Jerusalem's destruction ( 607 BC ) was a non-academic extraction
to help bring some monumental importance to 1914, it worked for them since the majority of the population
wasn't knowledgeable about this subject, it also was to bring some sort of support toward Russell's pyramidology theories
concerning the end of the Gentile times.
The existence of at least one of the JWS with a PHD. in theology is mute suggestion.
If anyone is interested of really knowing about the beginning of Christianity and its starting formation,
I highly recommend a DVD entitled " From Jesus to Christ : The first Christians "'
its very informative and it is narrated and put together by REAL noted professors of theology from
Oxford and Cambridge universities.
By the way they also discovered archaeological evidence of the cross ( crucifix )
as the way the romans used to kill people. Not as a mere single stake as the JWS insist on.
Another interesting thing they revealed was that in ancient Israel they were actually two working kingdoms

Quite frankly I don't see how they have to be concerned about what the numbers show right now, being that
there is only 10,000 or so that are being listed, a small number in comparison to 144,000.
Now if they had a huge number like 100,000 to deal with, you best assured they would do something very drastic.
This is when most likely they would institute a do not publish the numbers out to the flock, policy.
Right now they're in luke warm water.

In concerning the JWS and the WTS., apocalyptic doomsday predictions serves itself as a provocation of fear that encapsulates people
into controlled submission and is psychologically coercive to the provocateurs.
Prophetic doomsday predictions also are a valuable asset, being that they carry a very appealing commercial value.
In basic terms, being that many people believe in the bible as a source of truth, the WTS exploited this
to gain converts through a policy of fear and provocation.
Having not to be killed at Armageddon and to live in a peaceful Paradise forever was to just appealing
to not endear themselves to and this today is still the main reason why people remain with this organization,
a very real and true psychological sickness.
this is a question for all, but especially ex-jws who may have transferred their piety over to another religion, and come to believe in another faith:.
is 'truth' regarding the meaning of life something that can ever realistically be obtained by human beings?
what is your idea of what 'truth' is?
Religions create their own self contained truths to support themselves, in an effort gain support from outside of their construction.
Creating convoluted lies to create a " Truth " is what they are good at and the JWS is shinning example of this.
