  i saw this on the local news last night.

  i looked it up and it's true!!!.

  an 8 year old being allowed to breast feed!!!!.

  With a mother who thinks that nursing is OK until "maybe into their teens", this kid is going to be in psycho therapy.

  good reminder.....i think that fact has been lost in the shuffle. for those here that are (to some degree) defending this mothers actions, look at that statement. she thinks its fine to breastfeed until "MAYBE" the teenage years people! maybe, maybe not? you say theres no harm, its all social conditioning.....will you be saying the same when this kid is 15 and nursing? theres something wrong with this picture, and it goes WAY beyond social conditioning. how will his girlfriend feel about his nighttime "comfort" feeding.....still perfectly normal? come on, lets get real here.

  Many forward thinking inventors were ridiculed over ideas that seemed outrageous for their time.

  very true, and who knows, maybe someday everyone will breastfeed until they go away to college. ridiculers are not always right, and i certainly understand your point. there are many degrees, and i suppose its all personal opinion. some people get ridiculed for having sex with animals, and it could be perfectly acceptable to someone else. yk gets constantly ridiculed for his armageddon predictions, as do the jws in general, but in the end they could be right too.

  well, my comment was meant as a simple joke, but as is the case with most sarcasm, i suppose there is a grain of truth behind it. since ive incited such snappy comebacks, i guess ill just say this: if you think that there wont be any emotional repercussions from the ridicule associated with this case alone, youre naive. having said that, once again, IT WAS A JOKE! i guess on line you have to add "LOL" to every non-serious comment to get your point across.

  i havent been posting for awhile, but i thought this might be a good time to resume some old discussions. im not sure if youre even checking in on the board these days, what with no real gloom and doom to speak of (although i suppose the sniper could have been exciting for you). anyhow, i thought we could start here:

  LaRouche is saying the financial system is gonna blow before October. So, we will see. As things develop I may even be up for another "little wager" soon. LOL / You Know

  so, just another gaffe in a long line of larouche (false)predictions eh? maybe you and larouche can start safely betting for NEXT october now that november is here once again? just wondering what your thoughts were on current events.
