really? you mean the mother didnt come right our and tell the authorities that she forced him into it? wow, what a shock. the fact is, the babysitter reported it, just like your quote shows, and THATS most likely why he was taken into custody, NOT because of the age issue as you keep imagining. now, who knows what happened next. maybe the authorities asked the boy if it was true, and maybe he was too scared to tell the truth once he was seperated from his mother. who knows? its a scared little 8yr old boy......and no one will ever know the real truth. the mother denied it, and thats good enough for you....thats all you had to say.
The fact that they returned the child should tell you that someone realized it was a mistake.
and the fact that they released oj and found him innocent of all charges should tell you that someone realized he didnt do it. youre basically saying that since they couldnt prove the mother had bad intentions, and they decided to give the child back, that the mother must certainly be innocent of any wrongdoing.
Court mandated counseling I would agree with, but taking a child away for breastfeeding too long?!?!?!
again, as YOUR own quote shows, the child abuse hotline was called (and subsequent actions were taken), because the child told the babysitter that the mother was FORCING him to breastfeed, NOT because he was "breastfeeding too long". obviously you cannot comprehend the difference.

Um, I'd have to say that, yes, I'd certainly think they'd beat them- especially if it were the same Dollfish team I saw on Monday nite.Hey dubla- have you ever been to Wisconsin in August or early September? HUMID. And that's the weather they practice in

but......they cant take the heat and humidity in south florida, which is why theyve NEVER won there, in the HISTORY of the green bay franchise. you say "id certainly think theyd beat them"....with doug pederson? please........i went to the last dolphins packers game, in miami, and they had mr. perfect, brett farve at the helm. it was virtually the same "dolfish" team you saw on monday night that humiliated them in miami.....only difference was we didnt have ricky williams then. just like the pack cant handle that miami heat and humidity...the dolphins cant handle cold weather. never have, and probably never will. kind of like farve chokes in dome games, ya know? i dont think hes as bad as he looks in those games....its just a mental block.

You want a specific answer about what is the appropriate age to stop breast feeding. You want me to declare an age when breastfeeding is "sick" "twisted" and "wrong". You want a line. I will let you draw that line because you seem to feel so strongly about this matter.
actually, it may seem that way, but i really dont feel that strongly about this matter. i do think its a bit absurd that some people think its perfectly normal, but hey, everyone has a right to their own opinion. the reason you, and the other "supporters", wont give a definitive answer, is that it would back you into the wall. admittedly, it was a baited question, but one worth asking. the fact is, you do have a line, in your own mind, as does six, and whoever else. 8 yrs. old just isnt your line......but there IS a line, for everyone, there has to be, where you would consider it "sick" and worthy of an "ewww". unless of course you think its okay for a 30 yr. old man to breastfeed for "comfort" once a week at his moms place. theres a line, you just refuse to specify it. fair enough, and my point is made.

you said "own free will", and ill again point out that the child claimed to be forced into breastfeeding.....hardly the childs own free will. im sure seperating the child from the mother had much more to do with that fact, than the age factor, but thats just speculation on my part. if i saw a mother forcing her 8 yr. old to breastfeed, id probably call it abuse too......just my opinion though once again.

yes, i admit to talking smack about that game beforehand.....which ive already explained. i talked the same smack to the rams fans last year before we went to st. louis, but i knew deep down the odds were stacked against us in that one. its pretty obvious that green bay was the better team monday night, in those circumstances....that was my point.
Anyways, second string, third string, whatever... Having the right combination of players and backup is what makes the team a team.

not my man....im a gadsden fan, always have been, and i think it stinks that we replaced him with crybaby carter. that said, i think cc will get back into the swing of things, but he looked like complete s**t last night. i couldnt figure out why lucas kept going to him...did they have a few beers together over the weekend or something? where was chambers? oh well. at least it was only the second time in history the pack beat the fish. i think the record is 12-2 or something along those lines.

well, i personally dont consider losing at the packers on a cold monday night (all the ingredients that make the pack pretty much unstoppable) an "embarrasment". considering we were playing with our second (and even third) string qb, and a new starting reciever for the second straight game, id call that game pretty predictable, even though i talked my fair share of smack to all kinds of pack fans around here beforehand. you talk the smack, but you still know the odds are stacked against you.....and the odds were certainly favoring the pack last night. not to take anything away from favre....hes a great qb, always has been....and the packers have a great team, but on a neutral field with fiedler playing, id still give the nod to the fish. but, having said that, home field advantage is part of the game, so no sense crying about it. i would add though, that theyd better keep it going, because unless the packers have home field advantage throughout the playoffs, my nfc vote is going elswhere. favre chokes away from his friendly confines (how many interceptions last year against the rams....wasnt that a record or something?)......but if they do get it throughout, i think theyll waltz in. id love a rematch.

didnt the boy in this case originally claim to be forced into breastfeeding as well? just another side point that hasnt been addressed.
and no one really responded to my last point, which was that the woman thinks its completely normal to breastfeed until the child is "maybe" a teenager (the maybe indicating possibly into the teens?). so, simple question for the supporters on this thread: at what age would you find this "sick", "twisted", "repulsive", or worthy of an "eeewwww"? 10? 12? 15? is there a line?
