why would anyone want to assume that saddam isnt a mad man? are we playing make believe here?

as reported on sky news, this from the pm's news conference some 45 minutes ago:blair firm on iraqthe prime minister says he passionately believes saddam hussein must be disarmed of weapons of mass destruction.
he said britain must show rogue states "that when we say we intend to deal with the issue of weapons of mass destruction, we mean it".
mr blair, giving his monthly downing street news conference, said there was still time for the iraqi dictator to give up his weapons programmes.. but if he did not, he would have to be disarmed by force.. "i know and understand the concerns that people have," mr blair said.

im a huge cowboy fan but i dont think they will make it to the super bowl, damn sure would love to be wrong.
ok here is who i think as of right now pittsburgh stealers and san francisco 49ers and god i hate them both, well thats my pick how about you?
ah, the time has come for reflection.....lets look back on some predictions and see what came of them.........
my prediction to crown:
unfortunately for you, your squad will be watching the super bowl from the couch, as will mine, and at the end of it all, youll only have bragging rights by way of a better division record.....not by overall record, and not by head-to-head......so it wont much matter.
yep, thats true now.......lets see what crown had to say:
The Jets will be hoisting the Lombardi trophy come February.
to which i replied:
that is by far the funniest thing youve said on here yet! the jets shouldnt even be in the playoffs, and they cant match up with 80% of the teams in, especially on the road. theyve got a shot at winning one game, and thats only because manning is famous for his playoff chokes, and the jets are playing at home for the wildcard. IF they make it past the colts, i give them about a zero percent chance of making it past the second round, and thats because like crazy says, they really do suck. .
hey crown, just call me nostradamus, lol.
either way, i still stand by my prediction that the jets wont make it past the second round
that one was for emphasis.

Better break out the Chad P jersey for this weekend
well, i think anyone owning pennington jerseys can safely burn them now, lol. did that guy look like a high school backup or what? looks like he will fit in nicely with the jets, hes already got the "choke" down to perfection.

i thought that the best team in the nfl deserved their own thread.
actually, i am not a huge football fan.
i do not watch much sports at all.
crazy-
well, id hardly say you have a team of nobodys + favre.....imo, ahman green, darren sharper, bubba franks, mike flanagan, frank winters, gilbert brown, kabeer gbaja-biamila, vonnie holiday, cletidus hunt, tyrone williams, and ryan longwell are all pretty far above "nobody" status. but thats just my opinion. i think its pretty "crazy" to even insinuate that favre built that 12-4 record single-handedly, but then again, you dont think michael vick is anything special, so im sure our opinions are pretty far apart, lol.

edited to add: the bengals could go 12-4 in that division!!!

I finally developed my pics from the San Fran game (YES WE BEAT YOUR SORRY ASSES)
i wonder if san fran or their fans care about losing that game to the pack, now that the pack are at home watching and san fran is in the second round....?

vick naysayers amuse me. he does things on the field that no other player ever has, yet he is "NOT all that", lol.......he is all that, and like i said, the professional analysts agree. ill use some exerpts from a recent espn article (bold mine) to back up what most of us already know....this guy is amazing.
The 22-year-old improvisational genius led the Atlanta Falcons to a shocking 27-7 upset of the Packers
"He's amazing, It seems the tougher the situation the better he is.''
"Michael Vick's a great player, he made some great plays, we couldn't tackle him,'' Sherman said.
that was just a couple......i could fill pages and pages with quotes about how unbelievable he is. of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion of him, i just think anyone who says hes not that spectacular, really doesnt know much about the game of football.

Even in the Packer game he only had 170 yards passing.
yards are only one part of a game, and numbers arent everything. theres the intangibles, the leadership, and the ability to frustrate a defense all night long, like he did against the pack. heres another quick quote from that article:
Vick's numbers weren't great -- 117 yards passing, 64 rushing -- but he was his usual phenomenal self. Over and over, he turned broken plays into big ones.
and those big plays from broken plays were a huge factor in accomplishing what no other team has ever accomplished.....winning in green bay in the post season. it was quite a feat, one many other very talented qbs have tried and failed at........pretty amazing stuff.

Vick.......isn't amazing.
well, youre one of the few people that think that then. imo (and the opinion of just about every sports writer, nfl analyst, ex-player, current player, current coaches, etc), hes one of the most if not the most amazing player in the game today. he runs like a faster barry sanders, and has the strongest arm in the nfl. his acuracy and pocket passing will only improve as he plays more.....dont forget people, its only his first year as a starter! if you dont think hes amazing now, you will eventually. i hear people talking about how favre didnt have any recievers to throw to......who does vick have?? finneran? 80 yr. old jefferson? what vick has done with those recievers....now thats amazing.

Farve didnt choke. His team Choked.
is there a difference? favre is the packers, the packers are favre. no one man can win a game, but that team responds to favre and his tenacity, and it just plain wasnt there on saturday. did you see him standing on the sidelines, even in the first quarter, with his arms folded and this blank stare on his face? there is more than one way to choke. even favre himself has admitted not playing with the same fire and enjoyment since the first half of this season. if his fire is dying, he might as well hand over the reins now.

Vick wasnt all that.
tell that to all the packers d-linemen who are recovering from broken ankles right now.

yeah, i kinda thought that statement would come back to bite me when i watched the first quarter of that jets/colts game..........i guess i underestimated mannings choke factor. i mustve been crazy to think hed actually show up in a game that matters. maybe i was just hoping for my home state to do something now that my fish are at home. either way, i still stand by my prediction that the jets wont make it past the second round........as i said before, if they can go into oakland and beat the raiders, ill believe in them. the last time i said that they came away with a loss.....here comes round two.
truthseeker, much as I like the Pack and Farve, I don't think that with the way they're playing they'll make it this year
yeah, i didnt think they would either, but who couldve guessed a first round death at home to the hands of the falcons? the pack looked terrible, like they didnt even want to play...and as i said on another thread, seeing the supposed loyal packer fans booing their own squad was ugly.
