well folks, mrs. flipper and i were gone for a few days up to my 80 year old witness mom's lower back surgery.
she pulled through it o.k.
but it took her about 60 to 72 hours to get out from under the anasthesia.

I think what may have happened in the case of your relatives is that since the rules are you are "allowed" to speak to family in the occasion of a medical emergency, they took it as a chance to be "themselves" and show you how they felt without having to feel guilty about it. It will likely go back to "normal" when the situation no longer allows them to be human.
Just the way I think it could be.

well, as some of you know, i've hung up my tools and am leaving the mechanic world.
i start my new career tomorrow.
i am going into new car sales.
Welllll...have to say it..You were a witness, and if you could do that...you sure will be able to sell nice cars people actually want!!
I have done jobs in sales plenty of times and one key is preserverance. Just keep showing cars, and the odds of someone being able to buy one go up. Then, as you make sales, follow up with the people so they remember you and give you referals.

i haven't posted for a while because of health problems.
medication caused most of it and on labor day i went back to icu for acute hepatitis.
this was all due to med errors on the part of my doc.

My hubby's truck looks just like the black one Jeff posted.....Now that we are saving gas money...I get to drive it and he takes my Nissan to work! I LOVE IT!!!! Enjoy the truck...if you get time, take it to Turner Falls in Oklahoma. It is a nice area, and not too far from you!

One thing I did that scared ME was in Mass. There was an area that had large homes turned into apartments. You would go in the front door and go to the different doors and those were indivisual homes. Well, I walked into one and there I was in someones living room with them sitting right there in their living room. The home owner was shocked and so was I! (the sad thing is I was 14 and so was the girl I was with)
Another experience was with another teen ager with me. A man came to the door naked.(and he was rather good lookin). Well, that was the first naked guy I had ever seen...so I was speechless! I think I giggled out a presentation.
One more....we had a person at a door with a gun pointed right at us. I was nieve enough to just think Jehover would protect me and it didn't scare me that bad
where i lived as a child.

there have been several exposions most likely from any gas left in the cars.

here's the scenario: you buy an item and it's on sale for 10% off the original price.
a new cashier charges you, instead of 10% off, 10 cents!
this happened to a woman who bought a leather coat among other things and when she reviewed her slip she knew absolutely that the new cashier messed up.
Ok....I don't know what this says about me, but, I will be honest with you with my story.
We recently moved to NC...we were staying in corporate housing, and while we were out and about one day we went to Target and my husband saw this grill he'd been dying for. (Huge grill) It was on sale for 350.00 (instead of 500)
He went back and forth on getting it...then finally decieded he would. He got a guy who worked there to help him and the guy went in the back and got the grill and loaded it on a flat cart.
I went with the guy (and I had the baby with me) to the check out line and hubby went and got the truck (it was raining out) The cashier rang us up. I slid the debit card while talking to the cashier...didn't even notice the total.
A couple weeks later hubby was looking over the bank statement and asked what we got at Target recently...I was like the grill...duh! He said we had a charge for 199.00 (close to that...taxes, ect.) I was like...HUH? I have not been back alone! I found the reciept...and we saw we had been charged way less!
We thought about it and decieded not to return it. I guess because it had been a while and it wasn't rung up by hand...the cashier wasn't at fault....and it would not reflect on her. It was the stores loss and we felt it would be wrong to go get another one....but, felt like we weren't at fault and going back would be a real hassle.
Well....KARMA comes.....We moved into our new house and hubby spends a few hours putting the thing together. He stands back to look at it and....IT IS NOT THE GRILL HE WAS DREAMING ABOUT!!!LOL!!! It was a cheaper model....one he would have never bought for 199.00!
It was a relief to us that we didn't do any wrong in the first place and the grill is really the better choicde for us. I guess it was meant to be.
So......I guess we are not as honest as some of you by choice. But....we were honestly relieved to not have had that on our minds every time we used the grill!
