Feels good, doesn't it!! I know there are great losses when you get out of the BORg, but, personal freedom is one of the best things to experience in life I think (My opinion!!)

Have you changed your mind about ABORTION?
by nicolaou ini'm not after a discussion on the rights or wrongs on abortion, what i'm asking is whether or not your views have evolved over time.. perhaps leaving the watchtower was enough to allow your true feelings on abortion to find expression.
maybe abortion is one of those subjects where you still find yourself in agreement with your old jw self.
did becoming a mother change your perspective in any way or solidify your views?.

I guess the question is VERY broad...and by saying pro-choice, I don't mean I AGREE with it in every situation either.

....as long as it isn't rainy and gloomy more than it is sunny.
I have S.A.D. (Seasonal affective disorder) Basically...the sun gives you vitamins and also diminishes the melatonin (Makes you sleepy) in your body. When I live in a place that doesn't get sufficient sunshine, I get REALLY depressed and tired. (Like MA...I hated it there in the winter)

A new twist
by ESTEE ini've been disfellowshipped for about ten years yet i rack my brain trying to turn that "shunning" stuff around into something more positive and uplifting.
shunning sounds like --- like --- so final.
it's what we were taught to dread our whole lives.. well, for someone who was raised to be co-dependent with the borg, for me to allow myself to get disfellowshipped and leave because i had some independent thinking going on --- maybe --- just maybe my kids don't talk to me any more because my leaving the jws has left them speechless!.

That certainly sounds better that we are as "good as dead" to them!

Mums gone; and I did something bad
by shell69 ini'm not proud of this.
i went to my dads grave, bearing in mind that i am the only one in the family that ever places flowers on it.
mum had visited and put a bunch of silk roses on it.. i saw red.

It's ok shell...You are human, and what else can you do with your anger? Don't let it make you feel bad....that's the last thing you need.I would do the same thing.

This is the first time I get to go "trick or treating" with my baby!! She is only 1 1/2 though, so I don't think we'll go to too many doors...I certainly don't need the candy!! LOL...
What are your kids going as?
Megan is going to be a little sheep. I was thinking of painting her face like a wolf for a laugh, but she's too young for face paint I think.
BTW...It is nice to have you back here!
