This is one of the things i am most bitter against the org and my parents about. I was a huge sports kid. The hall i was in had quite a few guys my age and we would go against the elders wishes and would go play football agains other guys from surounding areas. THere were quite a few times we were pulled back into the library and talked to about the spirit of competition. I was a devistating inside linebacker/fullback. I could hit people like a ton of bricks. I would have for sure made the varsity football team in my school. My school was a football powerhouse when i was attending there. l maybe even could have made it to college. This is one thing that i wish i could go back and do. I will never tear sports away from my kids because of this. On a side note one of my best memories was a congregation picnic we had when the CO came to our hall. There was a softball game that we were playing and he had joined in. I was on 2nd base and the guy before the CO was up to bat and hit a ball into center field i took off rounded third and headed for home. There was a play at the plate and i obliterated the guy playing catcher he flew about 10 feet and lost the ball. The CO just stood there with a shocked look on his face it was priceless.

For the born-in/raised in, you ever get resentful upon seeing kids involved with organized sports?
by Theocratic Sedition inthis past saturday, i was watching the georgetown/syracuse game, and a nike commercial was played during one of the breaks.
i couldn't locate the exact commercial, but below is a variation of it that has scenes from the same one that aired on saturday.
man did i feel some heavy resentment towards the wt during and especially after the commercial aired.

I am exhausted emotionally.
by PaintedToeNail ini have been reading ashley judd's 'all things bitter and sweet' autobiography, and it has exhausted me.
she paints a picture of neglect and abuse from early childhood on.
as i sat reading, i realised i was identifying with so much of what she wrote.. why, when having an emotional breakdown as a teenager, major obsessive compulsive disorder, obvious depression symptoms, would you refuse to get medical help for your child?

I just read this post now as i have had many things going on myself. I wish i could take away the pain you feel I would literally beat someone to death if i knew who they were for hurting my sister. I totally get you dear. Life was very unfair as a child. My father called me the other day to appologize for not being able to provide the things that he thought i wanted as a kid. He still to this day does not realize that what I wanted money could not buy. I wanted to feel the joy of having a normal childhood. I wanted the thrill of a xmas morning the family closeness of thanksgiving, running around as a kid collecting easter eggs, the thrill of feeling importantant on one day a year when it was my birthday. I would have loved to persue my passion as a kid and play organized sports like football and baseball. I lothed going and talking to strangers every saturday about some made up bull crap. I disliked going to all the meetings durring the week I remember trying to be sick as much as possible to get out of going and if i was there i would constantly get allergy attacks just to get out of them. They never cared to see that i was so unhappy. I was the only witness kid in Orrville and I was ruthlessly teased up to the day i graduated but no one cared. I wished i would die from one of the multiple times i got jumped as a kid because of being such a outcast.
I wish that the lives of those on the inside were fair but we truly were silent victims.

We are rapidly becoming one of the biggest police states in the world under the disguise of a free country. We really are losing our right to be free and we just keep letting it happen. We have fema camps set up across the country that can act as prisons in a seconds notice. If the govenment views you as a ememy of the state we lose all our constitiutional rights. If you are deemed a threat you can be assasinated by one of these drones walking down a street in a foreign country and it is considered legal. This Phony terror war was brought upon us to enslave us to the system that we live in and give up our individual rights.

Double Standard re: Baptism
by lostinnj83 ini was speaking to my mother earlier this week, and she was mentioning about someone in her hall that was in the hospital.
this person was never mentally "present" even prior to getting baptized.
my mom said out of the blue "why would they allow someone who is mentally incoherent to make such a serious commitment as baptism?".

I remember my nephew was baptized at a VERY young age. He was so good in the ways of the truth. Poor kid never had a chance. He has since left the organization.

Women: Are they Equal to Men ?
by villagegirl inone of the hard core doctrines of the wt society, and many other religions, is that women are to be in "subjection" to men.. in the bible, in genisis , it says the domination of women by men came after adam and eve disobeyed god.
eve was cursed by pain in childbirth and that from then on as a curse: "he shall rule over you " from then on the male was to dominate the female.. but that was not in the original plan.
this was a reversal of the plan and a curse.

Coca Cola Death? Should i sell my KO stock?
by skeeter1 incoroner says coca-cola addiction responsible for womans death neetzan zimmerman .
when 30-year-old natasha harris of invercargill, new zealand, died of a heart attack three years ago, her family suspected the cause of death was linked to her extreme fondness for coca-cola.. drinking as much as 10 litres (2.5 gallons) a day left the mother of eight with myriad health problems, including cardiac arrhythmia, rotten teeth, and a full-blown addiction.. "(she would) go crazy if she ran out... she would get the shakes, withdrawal symptoms, be angry, on edge and snappy," harris's mother-in-law said last year.. harris's husband, christopher hodgkinson, recalled how his wife's health quickly deteriorated in the months prior to her death.
"she had no energy and was feeling sick all the time ... she would get up and vomit in the morning," he said.. coca-cola has persistently maintained that, despite her daily consumption of twice the recommended caffeine intake and over 11 times the acceptable amount of sugar, harris's death could not be definitively linked to her coke habit.. but a coroner report released today claims to have done just that.. wrote coroner david crerar: "i find that, when all of the available evidence is considered, were it not for the consumption of very large quantities of coke by natasha harris, it is unlikely that she would have died when she died and how she died.".

This should not even be newsworthy. People are idiots anything in excess can kill you. If her family thought that she had some sort of problem why did they not take her for addiction treatment? Hell why not dump out all the cans like people do with alcoholic family members. Someone is looking for a quick payout and unfortunatly in the socioty that we live in will probably get it.

There is a light at the end of this tunnel it may seem distant but it is there. You have a full life ahead of you and deserve nothing but the best.
