at june 24, the former editor of "bergens tidende", the main newspaper of bergen, norway, wrote an article about jw versus nazi-germany.
obviously, he has recently seen one of the videos from wts about the issue.
the article stated that jw was the only church that raised their voice in protest against the "crystal night" in 1938, when the nazis ravaged jewish synagoges, shops and homes and sent thousands of jews to consentration camps.
I can tell you that the 1937 yearbook only complains about Germany's treatment of JW's.
It did mention, however, the letter sent to Hitler by JW's from around the world. It did NOT mention, however:
1) the letter infuriated Hitler so much he set out to kill JW's (by their own admission they had only been arrested before) and this letter resulted in the death of 1000 JW's.
2) it's contents. "Stop persecuting JW's, or God will kill you and your Nazi Party". Of course, God did NEITHER...
our section on h2o has grown to a notable jw site in our language.
the site was mentioned at the district convention last weekend by mr. veikko leinonen, a local branch committee member.
during the convention the local ex-jw's had the first demonstration against the shunning policy and lack of religious freedom and expression among the jw's.

yesterday, before we went to dinner at mak and sabine's, a friend called me from the kh to warn me they had mom on the phone link for the meeting (their meeting is at 4pm).
i went downstairs to see what she was up to, since i had taken the phones out, to stop her from calling everyone in town to complain about the 'abuse she was suffering' at the hands of her daughter (me).
she was standing over the speaker phone (i had taken the hand set off), and she was furiously pushing buttons, and sobbing.
