  I agree Maninthemiddle, I am very impressive!

  NOLAW, there wasn't much pain to endure time away. I needed time to get divorced (was a premie teen marriage JW style) and go to/graduate from college. Plus, I'm not suffering any EX JW guilt and I'm so positive that I don't need them that I don't pursue regular validation for leaving. But now that I'm done with all that...

  Is there any reason that on page two of each forum section, there are only posts from 11 years ago??? I know there were posts from 5 yrs ago as I was here. But page 1: today's content....page 2: 11 years ago.

  Aliens/Demons

  just curious, am i the only one who considers the possibility that " demons " may be " aliens".

  or that aliens are other races who have sided with demons, and that we are going to see some serious " war of the worlds " stuff, vaporization included?

  maybe there are other races of beings giving the governments help or influencing them?

  They didn't reproduce by masturbation. It's called asexual reproduction. Snails still do this (amongst other animals). Look it up. Not going to get into the whole evolution thing but males and females were originally the same gender (study a clit and the head of a penis for a while, or tell me exactly why men have nipples).

  But to answer to question, no you aren't the only one. Every JW I know believes aliens are demons. Aliens aren't demons. And there won't be a war of the worlds (seriously, do you think we would even stand a chance?).

  Have you met him? I've worked in healthcare for a while and some schizophrenics are easier to be around than others. Honestly, I would meet him first.

  I started to take it but then I realized I may have clicked on the wrong thing. I'm neither disfellowshipped nor faded. Initially I clicked faded but then the questions seemed more geared towards the ones who faded purposefully (half in half out for a while). I kind of just went crazy a few years back and really went out with a bang (as I mentioned in the other thread lol) and they just never got a chance to catch me to DF me. And because I didn't care enough to waste my time playing their politics I never wrote them a letter or called any of them because I genuinely do not take their matters seriously.

  So should I just click disassociated? Even though I'm not technically disassociated either?

  staying a witness

  the other day i overheard a conversation about jws and somebody said jws don't celebrate birthdays.

  the other one said he has a few friends who are jws and while they don't celebrate their own birthdays, they do celebrate his.... then a thought crossed my mind: what if those of us who did not switch to another religion and have a somewhat non-jw lifestyle (not that hard) just keep saying we are jws?

  given that there should be more ex-jws than jws by now, how would that influence the public view of jws?.

  Sorry my thingie was acting up.

  What I meant to say was... Those of us who stay one foot in always end up depressed. You would be living a double life. I have never seen a non-awkward, non-depressed, half in half out witness.

  That's why I went out with a bang. I understand you can't handle making people sad, but you will get over that part and feel much better about yourself for having grown a pair of ovaries and just stand up for what you believe in (I mean what you don't believe in)...

  Also, I don't know why you care to change public opinion on them (does the public even really have an opinion??). If the public sees them as a bunch of anti-social cultists...good. Because that's what they are. Yes my entire family is in it and we are on good terms, but it is their choice to stay in so they reap whatever they sow.

  I don't know if I misunderstood your post, but from what I gather, you want to lie to your JW friends/family about being one when you're not, and you want to lie to the public to try to make JWs seem cool and laid back, and you want to lie to yourself by not accepting what you need to do.

  although i haven't been a witness for over 20 years, it has taken me that long to finally feel brave enough to join another church (aka christendom) and begin researching my past beliefs.

  all this research has opened a few old wounds, but mostly liberated me from a lot of quilt.
