Good post my dear, I can partially agree but if you check all of the early posts, they were mostly one liners, with mocking, derogatory and inflamatory remarks about Islam, and my getting in was to balance the scales somewhat. This was not intended to offend anyone nor to be personal attacks, but after I posted I did get attacked eventhough my thoughts were on religion and government in general. So in order to enlighten and change the direction of a few of those who like to bully those who have alternative views, we went in and unintended direction. This site in my opinion is for all points of view and should be full of stimulating and engaging conversation. As a matter of fact more ideas probably came out on this one subject then most. From my perspective it has been quite enjoyable. None of us can change the world, most of us can not even change ourselves or our own point of view unless a new idea and way of thinking is exposed and examined. Great to know you. Nothing personal.

You sound like a war monger, my question was did they attack the US? Now just by coincidence all of the war equipment and superior war equipment in Isreal has made in USA on it, then maybe it like attacking the US. I'm glad that the Muslims have not squandered all of the resources on the making of war, that strategy is now turning the US and Britain into debtor nations, it is killing and maiming the fine young dedicated citizens, it is causing great division inside the countries and of course it will draining the resources of the nation for many years to care for war wounded, and of course it is creating the main thing that you fear, more terrorists. More bombs will not make people safe, the US has the most bombs, the most powerful bombs, has been dropping them in Iraq for almost 4 years, longer than WWII and it seems like we are more afraid than ever, and are further away from peace than ever, quite a paradox I would say...

Hi Hambeak,
Good to hear from you this morning! I'll just say Timothy McVeigh, George Bush, Tony Blair, and if you check the whole beginning of the State of Israel the entire group with Begin &Ben Gurian. Or we can go to Ireland, and find many so-called terrorists there (not many Muslims in that group). Terror is not exclusivre to Islam. Terror is mainly used by those with inferior weaponry and resources, and it is the tactic that seems to work best against well organized and well equipped forces. I almost forgot, didn't those great Revolutionary War fighters of the orginal 13 colonies use terror tactics to help to run the British out of the US? And if Afghanistan was the perpetrator of the 9/11 attacks what the heck are we doing in Iraq? I know, we are making the world safe for our western form of democracy, also known as Nation Building. Isn't that the same thing as what we are afraid the Muslims would do, convert the world to there way of thinking by using force? I must also ask the question what is more terrifying; a suicide bomber, a cruise missle fired from thousands of miles away, a stealth bomber hiding in the clouds, a B-52 full of cluster bombs, radioactive tipped artillery shells, Scud missles, hateful speech, idle threats, Islam itself, the DUB's. If you can, in your own mind rank them by what would terrify you the most you the most (1-10).

Dear My mils worstnightmare and friends,
Man I went to sleep last night and woke up this morning to a hornets nest!!! I really don't know where to start, it seems as though I have angered some of my new found friends. I would like to say that I am a Viet Nam Vet (won't go into any more detail than that), and have fought for this country so I probably paid more dues than most of you. Does that make me better? No, but it does tell you this, that I have paid dues that allow me to speak my opinion in the good Ol' U.S.of A. Since this site is mostly for those who have had some dealing with the JW's (former) who advocate peace and truth I find it funny to read some opinions. It seems that some you who cry that the DUBS lied to you are perfectly willing to support the liars who started the invasion of Iraq, you know that great international coalition of western powers..Let's name them all; U.S., G.B. and names to to many to be mentioned in more than a sentence. Would Islam take over the west if they had all of the bombs? Maybe, but I don't know if the manufacturers of the bombs and planes and weapons would sell them to the Muslims, unless of course they agreed to use them on who we told them to. In addition most of the Muslims in the world, check your stats, are not in the Arab countries which we seem to love to attack. You mentioned the leader of Pakistan as being a bad person, I do believe that some great western power threatened to bomb his country into the stone age (probably wouldn't take much) if they did not join in with them!! Who did you say was the Thug???? If most of my attackers were this fervent in there attacks on the DUBs this site would be able to eliminate any semblance of the witnesses. My point on the man from Texas was this, don't judge an entire religion or people by a limited encounter. That's like saying all football (soccer) fans are holigans because the holigans have taken over the football stadiums causing much grief or that everybody on this site is a bully because a few of you like to gang up on any dissenters. I must repeat, in my "OPINION", the as a whole Muslims don't hate the west, they hate invaders from the west. Contrary to popular belief they have much admiration and try and emulate much good that the west has done. They buy our technology, they send there children to our schools, they travel here when able, they sell raw materials, they sometimes even marry our women (oh, the horror). I will close with naming a few countries (not groups) that we now deal with and I want you to tell me which one came to the west with armed forces and attacked initiating a war with us: Iran, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Viet Nam, Cuba, Panama, Grenada any more? I will close now, it is time for prayer. I will be back though, because I think this will cause many of my fair minded friends to go back to the very first responder, eyeslice, and see how far we have come from his thoughts. Peace to you all!!

Hi Sweetie,
I didn't know that you were the Elder of this Sight or the Sergeant at Arms. Everybody out here has done real nice job defending there position and we've even seemed to have made a little peace. It seems as though your rage has unbalanced you! Big red letters really scream out and have me wetting my trousers. If I didn't know any better I'd think you'd have me disfellowshipped. One question though, I would like to know if your Minister of Defense position is elected or appointed? Nothing personal of course!!!

Hambeak,
Your last sentence says it all, the fanatics are not the religion, just as the mafia does not represent all Italians, the JDL does not represent all Jews or any other fringe group speaks for the majority. You had a bad experience. I met a Klansman once and he was white. He did not represent all white people, he represented klansmen. Fanatics represent Fanatics--Plain and Simple. Read the 83rd Chapter or Surah. But remember this is not a religious post just something you can read when troubled by the works of those who do evil.

You're correct, peace and submission are all parts of Islam. The application or mis-application of religion is really what has brought most of us here. I really don't consider myself moderate, I just try and be fair, even tempered and balanced. Agreement with my way of thinking or intrepretation of a point is just that, my thinking and interpretation and not mandatory. The Muslims I know understand they must live among the human population and try to be good neighbors. The revelation that god can be seen in the fabric of us all is something we need to understand. Not knowing causes fear, meet your neighbor, they may be different but that don't make them bad. Garments and traditions are like clouds, they sometimes keep you from seeing the sky but they can sure be great at changing your perspective and view, and they may bring some much needed rain to a dry earth.. Think over it!!!

Lawrence, If you are not a small minded westerner then the general phrase was not for you. "If a rock is thrown in a pack of dogs the only one that hollers is the one that got hit." I didn't hit you did I ???

Stealyourface, I don't have answers to everything you ask that would take a while but I'll say this; I'm not a apologist for any wrong doing. All wrong doers should have to answer commensurate with the harm they cause. The Muslims saw the crusades as an invasion especially since the so-called liberators traveled from all over what is now called Europe, almost like today in Baghdad even if there idea was noble (remove Saddam) people that live an area may not see you the way you would like to be seen. The Crusaders were not looked upon kindly and maybe if you were in there place you may see it the same way. Changing the Olympics for Ramadan for the Muslims I feel would be not appropriate, the Olympics were not created for any particular religion. If you can work your faith around the event then do so, if your faith will not allow for accomodation, oh well, life goes on. The true meaning and idea of Islam is Peace and the making of Peace. I think the big problem is that Muslims are allowed to fight if attacked, the Quran teaches that. Do people always abide, no.. Myself, not being raised in an Islamic country, my view may be different than people born in the faith but I feel that Murder because of some believed verbal slander is outdated and wrong. Islam should be able to stand up to criticism, I see no need to attack someone because they don't agree. I'm sure a True God can stand criticism.
