Geoffery Jackson Plan Against the Commission
by thedepressedsoul ingeoffrey jackson will attempt to df them all, shun them, take away their privileges, write a wt article on them, have the elders talk to them, their family cut off ties with them, read them watchtower articles, tell them they need to submit at least 10 hours per month etc... .
then, the "oh shit" look on his face moment when he realizes he has no power outside of his pinky ring club.

I still say a fake heart attack or stroke is on the horizon. It would be the perfect card for the GB to play at this time.It would shift the focus for the dubs off the Royal Commission and put it right back on the governing body.
The dubs could then concentrate on praying for the governing body, no testimony, and a long medical convalescence some where nice where questions can't be asked because of medical directives of his doctor.
With their money and connections they can easily pull something like this off. If I were in the same position that's exactly what I would do.

A question the Chair (Mclellan) may want to ask G. Jackson
by Indian Larry inmr. jackson, we have heard testimony from mr spinks and mr. obrien that women will never have leadership positions in the congregation.
as i understand it mr. jackson, you interpret revelation 7 to mean that only 144,000 will go to heaven and that these 144,000 will rule the earth.
i also understand that your organization teaches that women are part of this "remnant" of 144,000. can you explain why jesus christ is willing to put women in leadership over the entire earth but you are not willing to permit them to have anything to do with helping victims of pedophiles in your congregation?

Keep the questions simple
Just so we know we are talking the same language here If any reference is made to young kids and their generational problems approximately how many years are there in a generation and how many years have the present policies been in place?
What constitutes a known child molester?
The two witness rule in biblical times was used to determine when it was necessary to put a perpetrator to death, why do you need two witnesses?
What is spiritual death?
What is spiritual resurrection and how is it accomplished?
Have you ever advised someone not to report a case of child sexual misconduct to the authorities.
If not why not? If so when, where and why.
And on and on and on.
I can think of a million of them I like to ask.

Won't get fooled again ...Moon Landing.
by The Rebel inso i was fooled by the witnesses.
what can i learn from that?
not to accept things at face value but to seek out opinion and different view points.. hence my question " do you believe man landed on the moon?.

I saw a story bout this on TV this afternoon. Can't recall what network it was. It's amazing to hear of something like this and not a word on Canadian TV about the Australian Royal Commission.
Interesting find though.

Geoffrey Jackson. Seems he will be compelled to front up.
by umbertoecho inpray for brother jackson of the governing body!.
in todays news from australia it appears that, despite his previous declination to appear when invited, justice mcclellan from the australian royal commission on child sex abuse will officially summon brother geoffrey jackson to the stand after all.. ..... the commission was due to conclude its hearings into the jehovahs witnesses on wednesday but justice mcclellan said he will now call geoffrey jackson, a senior member of the churchs governing body in new york who is currently in australia, to appear next week.. .

If any member of the governing body is forced to testify you will need chains to bring him in. Then expect a fake heart attack or some other life threatening condition requiring a long protracted convalescence under a doctors care where questions are too stressful to answer. Just my personal prediction. -

What will this mean to the future of the Internet?
by truthseeker100 ini read articles like this and wonder what effect it will have on the future of the internet.
will the internet stay as free as it is now or will it lessen?.
i am sure there are many on this site who have a greater knowledge of the implications of this than i do so is this anything we need to worry about?

There is news behind the headlines. Is this much ado about nothing? Or will governments and others take control such as the Chinese government? Maybe the internet is just too big now to control? I hope so.

by Esse quam videri injanuary 25, 1788 - .

These were the 'unwanted', the dregs, who had nothing good to contribute to society and deserved only to be cast away from the civilized.
Flash forward to July - 2015.
these convicts, cast out of decent society, are now heading a Royal Commission to find out if a religious organization has been acting in a indecent, immoral and unlawful manner.
I guess Karma's a bitch! LOL
At least those initial societal dregs weren't mentally diseased apostates. The US were also thought of as criminals by the Royals in Britain and it was the US that gave us the Watchtower.

Quality Thinking - Warning: Long Post Ahead
by Viviane inrecently, several threads have had some debate about logic, evidence, critical thinking and skepticism.
i wanted to write a post discussing those things, hopefully to clarify what those things are, why they are important and how to use those tools.
first, logic, at its core, is simply a method for how to reason validly, how to draw conclusions based on a premise.

ron rawson: their method seems to be draw a conclusion, then find means to support it.
That is so true. I have heard witnesses tell me about their experience learning to be witnesses. One witness told me that he said to his study conductor "If you can show it to me in the bible I'll believe it." When you start off with reasoning like that your goose is cooked. His conclusion was already formed. The bible is the truth. He was very appreciative of the witnesses setting him straight on what the bible says.
Critical thinking is important and as a part of critical thinking it's important to realize when your conclusions about something are wrong. Sometimes that's the most difficult thing for any of us to do. Proving someone wrong on something sometimes leads to all sorts of new discoveries.
