  No, incense, it isn't a matter of leaving this board for my site or somebody else's site; there's no competition here...it's a matter of posting something that might not be acceptable here or at least in the eyes of Simon or to JWs lurking who might otherwise leave b/c they can finally see the truth....I mean, it's Simon's board and I feel grateful that I can come here talk/bullshit and post stuff...but i feel that it's not worth it for MrMoe or others to get booted if they go over the line. So, I think of the "exJWsRaw" as a release valve. They get their "extracurricular" fun at my site and they can still post their innuendo here. Make sense, no?
  
  i guess i saw the problem, people bitching about it and nothing getting done but aggrevation on simon's part. so i came up with a solution.

  Is apostate an appropriate term for us?

  how do you feel?do you like to be called apostate ?.

  apostate just means: someone who renounces a former belief or principle.. to people who have never been witnesses it may not symbolise much.but to witnesses the word means a lot.in many of their minds it is synonymous with evil and perverted.. since it jw's who will likely call us apostate not others the term almost always has a bad or negative useage.. but it does identify us as people who have completely rejected the religion.. so is it good for us to use it or not?

  I always thought of the JW usage of "apostate" as something akin to the "The Scarlet Letter"...except the JWs projected results were much more deadlier.

  But as I started to develop my brain and used common sense, I realized God doesn't exist as JWs (and maybe, as Christians) would like you to believe and, thus, your beliefs are not so urgently bound to this "smite thee" egotistically warped creature and those who claim to be his representatives. You have to figure that if any pissed-off, bloodthirsty, self-serving deity has reps, the reps are going to be "in the image" of their diety....hence, self-serving JWs.

  Sorry, if I offend anyone with the above words, but I believe it is better to be an apostate than to serve a diety/object/concept that binds people to fear and self-loathing, among other negative concepts.

  so just for grins i thought that i would try to take a peek at jwzone and pln (pure language network, it took the place of greatcrowd.net), two dub forums.

  i thought i would a friendly ambassador from jwd.

  It's funny, but whenever black folks in my neighborhood (the one i grew up in), including a number of black JWs, heard my name b4 they saw my face, they'd comment: "hey, thought you were black...you're name sounds so black." but it's me and my cracker-looking face.

  btw, my profile picture is of me around the time i got "buddha-ized", around 9 years old.

  and no, i don't look like a nerd anymore...my mom used to dress me like that when i was kid....damn, control freak always telling me, "i don't care how the other kids look. they're worldly. if they jumped off a cliff, are you going to do the same?"

And just how do you account for the Elders who keep those animals protected? If i was the wife of one of those Elders who keep silent, I'd feel like my bed was defiled.

  besides, if Jesus was so brilliant, then why did hang out with "wrong crowd" isn't that like "bad associations spoil useful habits" as prescribed by Apostle Paul to Timothy?

  Three things I remember about "cleanup parties":

  Our Kingdom Hall had wall-to-wall cheap-ass carpeting on both floors. Our KH was also full of little kids...So, you know there were spills galore. My dad and some other brothers would steam clean the carpets.

  Two, brothers tended to avoid toilet duty. I had an excuse: I'm asthmatic, so chemicals and I don't mixed, especially in the men's room which didn't have a window and poor ventilation.
  But one time, when I was around 9, I had to go really bad, and so after I went back out this older sister said to me, "Hey, I just cleaned that." She was one those really prissy types who thinks her shit doesn't stink. It always bothered her to do housework at home (My sister knew her daughter.). I thought it was great to piss her off.

  Three: I posted this before in another thread, but I got in deep doo-doo for doing "the hustle" dance at a KH clean up party back in the late 70s. At home I used to do it to "Car Wash"...my mom thought it was cute. (I was 6,7, or 8?) So, this one teenaged brother brought a radio to the party and the station was playing "Car Wash" and I couldn't resist. An elder caught me, let me and my butt know it was wrong to do "disco" and then my parents let my butt know more about it after we got home after the elder chewed on them for a while.
  Oh well, I attracted a small audience....hmm, i guess I'm an exhibitionist!
