jehovah's witnesses make frequent claims that they model themselves on the early, 1st century christians.. if that is the case, why did the early christians not refer to themselves as "jehovah's visible organisation"?.

also, why did the early christians not refer to themselves as the governing body, and as such, part of the faithful & discrete slave?.

i can't seem to find any reference to these "classes" of people in my bible, all i can find is a parable about a slave.

Does Watchtower Society monitor this board?

i've seen it mentioned many times in many threads: "the society monitors jwd, don't post anything you don't want them to know etc.

i have even made that point myself in the past.. my question is this: does the wtbts monitor this discussion board?.

or have we all been propagating our own xjw urban myth?.

deddaisy, I hope I'm not beating a dead horse. Of course, the society has thousands of people they could use. But just remember the example of Barbara Anderson. She worked for the society and was privy to lots of inside information and through this information she began to see the truth about the "truth". They don't want that to happen again. It would be much better to train a disinterested outsider, who had no ties to the organization. They could then put an end to the gossip at Bethel about the apostate websites and have the sites monitored in one fell swoop. They would not have to learn everything about the organization, just the tone of the board and what the "big" news is. Just my opinion, by the way. You're probably right.

Once a few years before Fred Franz died, they had him out in field service going from door to door in Brooklyn. He only did about three doors and because so tired he had to go in and lie down. But they played that scenario for all it was worth. Look, even Brother Fraqnz, at his advanced age, still goes out in field service.
