Hi Lin,
....... a couple of them knocked down our signs
How rude is that? Simply uncalled for!
Not only did you do an amazing job but you had fun too. Good for you.
hey all!
me, elsewhere, jesika and her sister spent about four hours today at a busy intersection (the same intersection where jesika did the press conference, right in front of the k.h.!
) and passed out flyers to everyone at the light!

today is a historical day for me.
today i got up early but instead of going to the kh as i used to for years, i went to the election office to vote in the current election for the german bundestag.. for years, i had a political opinion and hoped that "my" representative wins.
this time i did my part to ensure this by voting.. it is a strange feeling: being part of this system.
Actually its really the smaller parties who will determine the outcome of this election.
The numbers seem to be changing every minute.
Okay, I still have hope!
At least the ex-communist and free democrats lost!

Oh God.
Stoiber is claiming victory. However, they say the race is too close to call.
Thanks for sharing this information Jerome.
If these same laws prevailed in this country, a great percentage of our population would be obliterated!

Goodness, I am on pins and needles.
I want Gerhard Schroeder to win so bad!
this has to do with halloween...now personally i think halloween should be cancelled all together and that a whole other topic, so here is my comment and question.... while i was with the dubs...halloween was approaching, of course we know halloween is frowned upon in the organization to the point when halloween approaches talks are given to extent and that is perfectly fine.
however the alberta congregation i was involved with, every halloween, on, before or after the 31'st, depending what saturday it suited the majority..they would hold a candy hunt for the children.
i asked one of the sisters why they did this, as they frowned upon the occassion, yet promoted it in a small sense through their candy hunt.
The watchtower religion is a mass of contradictions.
We can give presents to each other, just not on Christmas. Many witness families do it a couple of weeks before or after Christman and they rationalize since it was not done on Christmas, then it's okay.
I guess your congregation applied that same principle to Halloween. If it wasn't done on that day and the kids did not dress in costumes then it's deemed okay.
That never would have happened in the congregation I went to. Different confregations, different attidudes.
Sounds like you guys had loads of fun though!
i was just wondering the age of most people on this forum.
i am only 18. i was just wondering if there is anyone else out there who posts and is so young.
or how old you were when you (1) left/faded from the jw organization, (2) how old you started posting here, and how old you are now.
Bitter Mango, I had no idea you were so young. Just a baby, really.
You have wisdom far beyond your years.
