As for adding verses to the bible regarding the trinity in the 15th century, your getting that information from your cult! I can't trust a THING the JW's tell me. They are so backwards on so many things that I can't hold ANYTHING they say for the truth. I get my information from the KJV, NIV, NLT, NAS, and from NON-CULT scholars!

These JW's that came to my house are quite odd. I prepared much great tasting food for them. They refused to eat it and even touch it, how rude!

They give me the same stupid pussy-footing book which stradles the fence on big issues but "sounds pleasing" each time they come by. I keep telling them, "hey, I allready have 5 of the same book from you, please don't leave another one on the table!!!" I read all the literature they gave me, but they wont even "touch" the literature that I give them! Weirdo's! They wont get a 4 year degree, masters, phd, edd, etc. They persuade to get a trade. Nothing wrong with trades, but alot wrong with not letting God lead you to exactly where you will go. The disfellowshipping is weird also. From what they have told me, I feel very sad for them. Infact of all the JW's I've known, not one has had a rock solid family life. Infact each of them, are majorly screwed up! I have a JW friend whose an airline pilot, very sharp guy, he was disfellowshipped for owning a motorcycle. The JW leaders kept on and on and on him about buying a 4 door car. Who cares! Back then, he was only making 8,000 a year, he could not afford a car, only a 500 dollar motorcycle. So they, kicked him out, now he is glad he is no longer with them. He attends a Baptist church now.

Jesus and God are equal. They have different roles however. Here on earth, Jesus led an example of a humble strong servant to God. He is our earthly picture of how to live our life. He has a different role in the trinity. Look here..

Philipians 2:5-7 "Your attitude should be the same that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not demand and cling to his rights as God. He made himself nothing, he took the humble position of a slave and appeared in human form."

Mondo1...I appreciate your acceptance that Jesus is not Michael. It's a real shame when JW's beleive everything, I mean everything that the cult leaders tell them. They don't even think things through logically in their head, they just allow the brainwashing to occur. Then go door to door, knocking on peoples doors, telling them "Jesus is Michael, he's not God!" Which is blasphemous.

John 10:30 "I and the Father are one."

Exodus 3:14 God tells moses "tell themI AM sent you."

John 18:5 When they were looking for Jesus, Jesus said to them "I AM HE." then they drew back and fell to the ground!

I believe whether you are a trinitarian, quaditarian, quintatarian or whatever, it really doesn't matter when compared to "Who is Jesus to you?" If he is God, then your saved from what Roman's 10:9 says.

I think someone wrote that Jesus is Michael the Arc Angel!!!!!!!!! What a joke!!!!!

In Jude 1:9 Michael argues with Satan about Moses body, he dared not rebuke him, he said "the Lord rebuke you."

But Jesus rebuked demons several times! I think the JW's are grossly wrong on this one!

The Finite cannot understand the Infinite. 12 people on earth understand the theory of relativity. Dr. Einstein's wife doesn't understand the theory of relativity....but she understood Dr. Einstein. You don't have to understand the trinity, but you can understand Jesus!

If you try to understand the trinity.......you will lose your mind.

If you deny the holy trinity..................you will lose your soul.

The Finite cannot understand the Infinite. You and I can't begin to understand the exact science and chemistry in the creation of a soul! And we are designed in his image! Not designed as him! You can't understand the trinity either, just know that it exists!

The NWT is translated in error. Take a look at this regarding John 1:1 You will see that the article is translated incorrectly.

HO LOGOS EH HO THEOS.....would mean that LOGOS and THEOS were equivalent and interchangeable. There would be no HO THEOS which is not HO LOGOS. But this equation of the two would contradict the preceding clause of John 1:1.

HO LOGOS EN THEOS........would probably mean that the LOGOS was 'a god' or a divine being of some kind.....

HO LOGOS EN THEIOS.......would mean that the LOGOS was 'divine' without specifying further in what or to what extent...it could also imply that the LOGOS being only THEIOS was subordinate to THEOS....

HO LOGOS THEOS EN........means that the LOGOS (rather than something else) has the nature of THEOS.......

THEOS EN HO LOGOS........means that the LOGOS has the nature of THEOS (rather than something else). In this clause, the form John actually uses, the word THEOS is placed at the beginning for emphasis.

If John had wanted us to understand that Jesus was only 'a god' he would have written HO LOGOS EN THEOS instead of THEOS EN HO LOGOS

Furthermore, In John 20:21 Thomas says regarding Jesus....."My Lord and my God!"

In Titus 2:13 Jesus is refered to in the same manner "God and Savior".

There is only 1 God, no other's. Look in Genesis, Deuteronomy, Isaiah, Psalm. ONE GOD ONLY. All other God's are idols, worthless. Some people make their corvette a god! Some people make a hollywood movie star a god. And he is a "god" in hollywood. But as far as a real, true, everlasting God, there is only one.

If you go to the original greek, you can see that the NWT is wrong. Whoever changed it doesn't follow the rules of translation, they are inconsistant in the "rules" such as in Luke 20:38 also. The so called translators are like John Kerry, they flip flop on issues, in this case to take away Jesus's Deity.

I live in Memphis. Months ago, I had some JW's come by and talk with me. I'm a believer in the holy bible. I believe in Jesus. I am somewhat new in my faith and as a Christian. But I know enough to get by, and continue to learn as much as I possibly can.

These JW's have come by for studies about 5 times now. Their beliefs are whacky! I disagreed of their interpretations on many things. But it all boils down to one question........."Who is Jesus?"

I have come to the conclusion that Jesus is the Son of God, and at the same time Jesus is God. By using the NIV, KJV, NAS, and NLT I am overly abundantly convinced that Jesus Christ is God. That's VERY important. Even using the NWT, which has been changed to take away the deity of christ, you can still see who Jesus is. There are many points I'd like to make. First being in Genesis 1:1-4...this explains that God created everything. Then in John 1:1-4 it explains that God is Jesus, and Jesus who is God created everything.

Along with his attributes are identical to God, They both forgive sin, they both give life, they both control the water's with their word. Jesus say's "....I AM" when asked who he is. God is called " I AM" God is also called "The alpha and the omega." Jesus is also called that in the book of revelation. God also tells us to not worship anybody or any idol apart from him. Jesus accepts worship when he triumphantly enters Jeresulam and when he is resurrected and with the disciples. The disciples worship him. He doesn't stop him.

God also say's all other god's are valueless in Isaiah. So wouldn't that make the watch towers NWT bible contradictory what they have written in the NWT John 1:1 saying "the word was "a" God." Wouldn't that make Jesus valueless? The NWT is pathetic! I've even learned some basic Greek and can see the flaws in the NWT. What a shame.

The JW's have got to get it together. They are so screwed up. It's a real shame that someone has mislead them, and they are now out their proclaiming a false religion to innocent people.
