  have you ever wondered what the modern equivalent of a pharisee wearing a phylactery is?

  (for those who dont know, a phylactery was a little box that ancient jews would secure to their forehead with a strap, and inside the box was the shema or other important scriptures.

  the jw's knocked on my friends' door while he was cleaning his bird cage.

  the jw's said "we'd like to give you something" and handed him a copy of the latest wt.

  he said, "great, that's just what i need, thanks" and placed it in the bottom of the birdcage then slammed the door in the jw's faces.

  i remember only funny incidents, like one brother getting up there with his zipper down.

  (i knew alot of brothers after that felt no shame to actually check down there before going up on the podium!

  I have one that involved a bible study....not at the hall but pretty funny nonetheless...it was my father in law...Tam Hughes...he was having a bible study with a big guy called Eric....after an hour or so of the study my mother in law said she heard banging and thumping from the room...and a few minutes later Tam came stumbling into the room...his hair all messed up...my MIL asked what happened...my FIL said..."Eric wanted a dummy fight"!!....two forty somethings going at it after a study...mental

  while discussing the trinity, you as the jw said that the word trinity is not in the bible.. the non-jw responds, well you believe in a theocracy or theocratic organization.

  show me where in the bible that word appears.. .

  Why do dubs act as if 1975 wasn't failed prophesy or misleading?

  from the evidence i have found, it was all but etched in stone.

  so why try and defend the wts by saying "they never stated armageddon would be in 1975", as one witness tried to throw back at me.. seems that you could show them all the evidence in the world of this false organization, and it will repel right off them.

  is there some sort of "force field" kool-aid they're serving at the halls?.

  suggestions please on the kindest and most effective (i.e.

  they might stop and seriously think about why) to say to very special close friends that we will no longer be attending the meetings.

  i spoke to the first of a few friends today and could tell they were deeply upset - their first reaction was "but there is no where else to go?!

  What are the love names you call your pets?

  since we have heard many bad names for humans lately in the media, i thought it would be fun to hear what we call our pets..... i have two large male (one in tact) dobermans and they are called an answer to: lovies, darlings, gooies, babies and bad boy loves.. what do you call your pets?.

  I call my pet dipsy wipsy....give them a good cuddle then throw a stick for them....they dont really appreciate all my effort....bloody goldfish...useless pets
