there is a e-mail that is circulating in jw e-mail groups that is very disturbing, at least it is to me.

i was wondering if any here have seen it and what your thoughts are.

hey everybody, i had an interesting time pushing a tract that i don't believe in this weekend.

i had to develop my own method of placing it without having to talk about it, since i fear if i was confronted by someone asking "do you people think you're the only true religion", i might break down and tell the person at the door "no, i don't".

the witness at the door with me would scream in terror, and i would be insta-dfed.

Are associations with worldly people a matter of concience?

i am really struggling right now with a jw friend of mine, she always told me that her association with me was a matter of consicence (i am a lesbian).

of course out of nowhere her husband forbids her to associate with me... i have posted before on this topic on the friends board.

i really am trying to understand the complexities of jw.

IMO, "conscience" does not exist in the JW religion. If you use your "conscience" on a matter such as this, you're just regarded as a weak JW.

From 1 to 10, What's the JW morale right now?

if you could give a score from 1 to 10, 1 being the lowest, what do you think is the morale of the average witness right now, considering that not much that they predicted happened by now.. i would give them a 4, considering their new tract that came out recently, that might make them more optimistic that the end is closer..

The "Oldies" are getting a kick out of it, since it probably reminds them of good old rutherford's days

The "Newbies" hate this tract, and are scared of placing it.

So I'd say it's somewhere in the middle, 4 sounds about right!

The suggestion made by the brother conducting the meeting for service was that we could tuck the tract in the magazines. (Thought this was odd, and somewhat wimpy, but a great idea). So hide the tract in the mags I did!

My question is, for those here who are placing this crap, how are you dealing with it? How about any Pioneers or people going out during the week when you CAN't use the mags for cover?

BTW, if any of you find me a hypocrite for not believing this is the true religion and still going out door-to-door, you're right, and I don't care. Anyone familiar with the JW system of control should realize that at this point, I have NO CHOICE!
