Yup, what a jerk!
I had one elder tell me (When I came to the meeting and was depressed about parent's coming divorce)
"You know, allot of times when someone is depressed it's because their hiding something"
Seriously...

Could a JW be disfellowshipped for lack of "Faith"?
by JH inlets say that a jw tells an elder that he prays and nothing happens.
then he tells the elder, that after praying so often and asking for reasonable things, i don't believe anymore that god answers prayers, because i was honest in my prayer and god didn't grant me what i wanted.
i was just wondering if an elder could see this as "lack of faith", which then could be a good reason to disfellowship someone.. .

Damn those Pyramids!!!!
by Gill indamn those egyptian piles of rocks and stones, so skillfully put together without an instruction book as to what their 'true' or not so obvious uses are, or may have been!!!.
for nearly forty years, because of some blokes pyramidology fantasy i wasted my life and others have wasted their whole lives, waiting for something that was never going to happen in the first place!.
now, i find myself reading up on pyramids!

"Thats what you get for leaving Jehovah"
by megsmomma inthat is what my mom told me when i got bit by a brown recluse spider.. i was in ohio, visiting my daughter and my mom was there trying to convert me back.
she even said if i go back, we would get custody of my daughter..... well....i drove myself there from ks and somehow had gotten bitten right before i left.
it was right between my eyes, and my head started swelling up on the way there.

The other day at the bookstudy, the conductor said that DFed people are in a similar state to the demons, in tartarus. I thought it was a bit much. one sister took offense, but she was promptly put in her place. So we're taught to think like this about DFed people. Stupid really.

And we just learned about job at the meetings and how the false comforters said that he must've done something to deserve his torture. Your mom must've heard that info and still did this to you. Ugh.

Just drove by my local KH
by headmath ini just drove by my local kh at 10:30 wednesday oct 25 and noted 18 cars in the parking lot.
this contrasts from just last wednesday when there where 60 cars in the lot.
this shows that the turn out for service is down by 75% in a one week period.. i guess alot of dubs have placed their tracts.

Active JWs, hows KN37 going?
by StillGroggy inhey everybody, i had an interesting time pushing a tract that i don't believe in this weekend.
i had to develop my own method of placing it without having to talk about it, since i fear if i was confronted by someone asking "do you people think you're the only true religion", i might break down and tell the person at the door "no, i don't".
the witness at the door with me would scream in terror, and i would be insta-dfed.

My family comes before anyone else, that is the answer to all your questions. Although it seems like my answers don't matter to you anyway sKally.

"Surely Anitar knows what she speaks of when talking about what jws really go door to door for...you disagree with any of it? Do you agree that the field work is about recruitment, overall...the ultimate goal? Do you think the householder should be informed about fraudulent salesmen/ women at their door? That jws are really only there as a sales tool?"
Were these the questions sKally?
I definitely think door to door is ALL about recruitment. I think that the householder should know the truth about the WTS. I agree with you, the Door-to-Door work is DANGEROUS.
I don't plan on staying "groggy" for long. I just found out the truth about WTS myself, so once I try to get my wife out (Whether successful or not), IM out.
For now, I just try to make my service as innefective as possible. (Don't follow up on Returns)
I guess we agree on various points allot sKally, we're just at different places in our relation to the WTS.
Did I miss anything???
