I know what you are saying skyking but that wasnt what my post was about, it was about stopping trophy hunting. but at the same time i think your gun laws are more dangerous, after watching bowling for columbine you can see that the easier access people have to guns the more deaths in my opinion, the more accidents, and it is also alot easier to get a gun there than it is here for criminals and the law abiding citizens.

at every jw wedding i ever went to, the celebrant has always said without fail that "the bride and groom have requested that no rice or confetti be thrown".. is this spiel used everywhere?
is it actually a request of the bride and groom, or is it just bombastically imposed by the elders (i.e.
a lie)?.
ive been to one wedding (a JW one) and they said there isa to be no toasting, that was a bit strange i thought.
ok, ive been posting here for quite a few days and i realised that i havnt actually introduced myself properly.
at the moment i am slowly gathering as much information about what the org has done wrong and i will be putting it into an easy to read (easy enough for jws to read i should say.
later on i would like to go to an assembly and put my new 'tracts' on the seats and under peoples window washers, anywhere where they can be seen, because i view this as my new form of witnessing, and let me tell you its going to be alot more fullfilling than anything ive ever done in the jehovahs witnesses!.
thank you all so much for your warm welcome and encouragment! its also good to see that there are a few aussie posters here too, its so strange to hear someone on this forum talking about melton and melbourne, ive probly bumped into you before at some of the conventions Stezza and Sass_my_frass! lol the whole thing has left me bitter and i do want to do something to work against the org, and thank you all for your great sugestions, i look forward to reading all of your posts.

Ok, ive been posting here for quite a few days and i realised that i havnt actually introduced myself properly, my names Sam (obviously) and in the last few months me and my family have been researching the watchtower society, we have realised its a load of $#!& and have all left at the same time, (we will be sending the letter in a few days) as i havnt been to any meetings for quite some time my witness 'friends' dont want to talk to me anymore because they view me as an apostate (surprise surprise) because of what ive told them about the org and the false teachings (UN anyone?).
At the moment i am slowly gathering as much information about what the org has done wrong and i will be putting it into an easy to read (easy enough for JWs to read i should say) essay, so that i can give it to them and other JWs.

it seems like the org are slowly 'weening' us back onto blood, first of all no blood whatsoever, next fractions, whats next? full blood transfusions? this is where i see them going in a few years, anyone agree?

these are things i hold as personally true for me:.
1) there is no religion today that has the only truth about god.
2) the bible contains truths for christians but other religions have books that contain truth for them.
