time to introduce myself

Ok, ive been posting here for quite a few days and i realised that i havnt actually introduced myself properly, my names Sam (obviously) and in the last few months me and my family have been researching the watchtower society, we have realised its a load of $#!& and have all left at the same time, (we will be sending the letter in a few days) as i havnt been to any meetings for quite some time my witness 'friends' dont want to talk to me anymore because they view me as an apostate (surprise surprise) because of what ive told them about the org and the false teachings (UN anyone?).

At the moment i am slowly gathering as much information about what the org has done wrong and i will be putting it into an easy to read (easy enough for JWs to read i should say) essay, so that i can give it to them and other JWs.

Later on i would like to go to an assembly and put my new 'tracts' on the seats and under peoples window washers, anywhere where they can be seen, because i view this as my new form of witnessing, and let me tell you its going to be alot more fullfilling than anything ive ever done in the Jehovahs Witnesses!

So theres some of my history, theres alot more aswell, but that gives you an idea, and i look forward to getting to know you all

As you already know... You came to the right place.
Congrats on you and your family's escape and good luck (don't you just love that word?) with your new ministry. I to, am trying to come up with a succinct (yet thorough) letter to express my position to anyone who cares to read it. I say succinct because I've discovered that the typical dub (even my family members) has the attention span of a 2 year old when it comes to listening to anything that doesn't spew from the frog infested mouth of the FDS.

Please keep us posted on your progress, successes, failures, and perhaps even a copy of your tract. Please remember that this forum functions on a give and take basis and there are a lot of young people here.

Hi Sam. . There are quite a few of us in Sydney but not some many down South, so it is good to have a Victorian on board.

You are right about being succinct. There needs to be a few hard one line facts up top so they at least read the main points before getting time to switch their minds off.

Fantastic that your family have left together, what do they say..the family that prays together stays together. You have proved that true. It will be nearly impossible to put them into Melton (unless you go weeks your circuit or district are not there) and are they still holding it in the Tennis Centre, dont they go into lockdown mode a day or before?

You could though:

* Cafes where they hang out (especailly your local area) ask the owner if you can leave something with the newspapers for folk to read)

* that strip shopping centre in Melton (destroy any good reputation they may have)

* On cars in shopping centre car parks (lots go to Chaddy for shopping, movies and bowling)

* The car park at Knox (near where the cinema is, they are crawling there)

* Eastland as well (another movie theatre)

As you can see I know the Eastern suburbs and some may be out of date.

I think that would be better as you would be getting return visits as well.

Glad you told us a little about yourself. Yes its quite a terrible blow when we realized we were dubed all those years as a JW isn't it? Your doing the right thing. And who knows it may cause some others to dig a bit deeper and use their power of reason. The UN thing is really something considering how the Society harped on it being part of the Rev. Beast. Idiots that run the Society, they have no brains at all.

Writing that letter will be liberating for sure.
