but really, i went to the store today and was spending my last few bucks till friday buying eggs and taters.
i found a freaking slim slice of meat at a reasonable price and some frozen veggies.. so i check out and think...hah, i made it with 10 dollars left.

This man touched your life and made you feel grateful. You're sharing the experience had the same affect on many more. You are a good woman, as I've seen from many of your posts. Your experience and reading about others' experiences made me so grateful that I am not a JW anymore and can offer more than a flipping magazine to someone in need. to those here that mad me feel welcome upon my recent return, i feel a bit like the prodigal son (poor analogy).. after making this my first board over a year ago, i have meandered the exdub cyber community and made many good friends as well as meeting some truly amazing people.
i feel i've established myself amongst the discussion boards and earned a reputation of sorts (hopefully positive).
i have always checked in here, tho sporatically, and recent board politics and accessability have led me back here.
Hmmmm.....where are the emoticons? I can't talk to BW with just my hands; it wouldn't be proper.
this thread is for those of us that are single and hate everything that this day is about.
i was using the atm at albertson's this morning and all around me i saw men buying candy and flowers and i seriously wanted to stab them....**note i would never actually hurt someone** sooooooooo i left the store and came right to work where i will be safe from ppl and teddy bears and candy and flowers.
so if you hate this day as much as i do, feel free to use this thread to vent.. lola ** of the bitter table for one class** saying a big f*ck you to today..
Valentine's Day always made me feel down, even when I was a dub. Now that I'm not a dub and my husband still is, it just pisses me off. The last couple of years my daughter has brought balloons, flowers or something to me at work. Today she called and was all excited 'cause her husband told her to make sure she didn't leave her office today. She was all excited about him surprising her with something. This makes me happy since they were both raised as young dubs and have a life now. :-)

Awwww, Puck. Yeah, he grew up to be the same lovable guy. I just love him to pieces. I hope as you take the trip down memory lane, you share more tidbits with us; especially ones we can use against him.

This was my first board over a year ago too. My password was lost and my attempts to retrieve it always came back blank in my email. So....I had to start from scratch. Haven't posted much since but I've always read here and find the information good in keeping up with news on the borg. I'm so glad you found your long-lost friend. I'm sure she will be thrilled to find out what a wonderful, funny person you are. I know for me, it has been a privilege to get to know you and love you. Uh, where the heck are the emoticons? i've been thinking about this a lot, because i've chosen to fade and i would never refer to myself as a jdub, but i've read postings from others who do.
i would have written a letter a year ago but i've got older parents who are upset enough about me just not attending.
on another thread someone is also leaving and they were advised to tell the jc to do whatever, to not acknowledge that they have any authority.
Absolutely not! And if I thought I was considered that in any way, I would write a letter to set it straight.
