I have no guilt whatsoever about leaving. I carry guilt for having been in and raising my kids in it. I feel guilty about pulling them out of school because of bad association; denying them a good education and a fun youth. At least I can be glad they left it too and won't be passing it on to my grandchildren.

ADVANCE MEDICAL DIRECTIVE sheet on Blood----Check it Out
by Mary ini'm not sure if this has been posted before, but i acquired this 'points to consider' about what a dub is willing to accept or not accept when it comes to blood.
as per usual, it appears that they've purposely made this very confusing and they're speaking out both sides of their mouth.
on page 1, it seems one of the options is using your own blood: "...during the course of a surgical operation, i accept all medical procedures involving the use of my own blood except...".

My husband said last night that he had a DVD to watch as they were filling out blood cards that night. It was some documentary about blood alternatives. They went through the blood salvaging. He was excited about how wonderful that this was allowed and the options it would give him. I made a comment about how that didn't used to be allowed and what a shame it was so many died that could have been saved. Of course, that was the wrong thing to say.
I copied the DVD for him and have it on my computer. Is this available online somewhere?

Would you EVENTUALLY be happy in a JW dominated new system?

i understand.. i know that i wasn't always happy under their rules and way of living.
i don't like going to meetings, especially 5 a week.

I checked out of the org mentally, when my oldest kids stopped going to meetings. I knew I didn't want to live forever without them, even in paradise. When they all stopped, I finally left and afterwards learned about the lies and could justify leaving.
If they were there in a paradise, I'd want to be with them. That would have probably kept me enduring before.

Having a friend like you would be a real treasure. If your 'friends' don't view you that way, then they are indeed, not your friends. I have a couple of workmates that I feel close to, but have not have a real friend in years. Sometimes I miss that. There are many people on these boards that I greatly admire and their good qualities shine through their words. You are one of those people and deserve good, true friendships.

Latest news of my Husband Marco (heart surgery)
by orangefatcat inso dear friends here is the latest news about hubby's heart by- pass.. the doctor spoke with us both this evening and marco will have the surgery in a week and a half.. he is holding his own and the doctor hopes he won't have another heart attack before surgery.. there are many people that are involved with a heart team.
and so that is why we have to wait to get organized in everry way.
marco is still weak and is constantly tired.
