@sirnose, thebiggestlie etc.
Bye DeusMauzzim - wishing you success and fun
i 'm sorry all of this is not in order.............i'm writing as all this comes back to me.. my first room assignment was room 33 in the 129 building....it was and old building, built around the turn of the century,...the society owned it but it had worldly people in to.......i'm not sure why but maybe there was a law that provented them from being kicked out or something.
it was a 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment (about 1000 sq.
ft.) there were 7 of us in there, all new boys ( less then one year there).
Hi newboy
Nowadays despite the fact that living conditions at bethels around the world have improved the pressure is still horrendous. I have personally visited bethel over here many times - the rooms are very cramped, walls thin, doors always unlocked, no privacy and very stifling. Many become ill, chronic fatigue, nervous breakdown, irritable bowel syndrome - mostly stress related.
The highlight for many is being with the congregations.
thanks for sharing your experiences.

this is a touchy topic for some because of strong beliefs about god's nature.
many believe that the nt bible is a law book, designed to give us exacting instructions and formula on what to do and not to do.

Thanks for your reply. Bernadette was the patron saint's name i took at my confirmation/1st communion (forget which) and then dropped it when I became a witness.
Can remember being rapped on the knucles by the nuns - always deserved.
Is there a link to Leolaea's research into the nature of God?

parents don't get a moral pass.
toronto star, canada - 3. even the discovery that their parents were devout jehovah's witnesses and is there any other kind of watchtower congregant?
raised only faint alarm ... rosie [email protected] the author.
thanks Danny
Before one can give or refuse consent to a medical procedure, the article noted, three conditions must be met: competence, adequate information and lack of coercion. A Jehovah's Witness patient may want to accept blood but refuse because of fear of being excommunicated from the religious community, Guichon wrote. "It may be difficult to accept a treatment option if that particular choice will lead to the loss of important relationships. "Coercion can be a great concern in pediatric cases involving JW families," she added. Patients may actually welcome the intervention of the courts because the law can remove a young Jehovah's Witness from "an impossible social position," she wrote. Because of the threat of religious sanctions, it's unwise for doctors to ask teen patients whether they'll accept blood products when other Jehovah's Witnesses are in the room, Guichon advised. Jehovah's Witnesses are warned to "avoid independent thinking," the article observed. Do the parents of the four surviving sextuplets really object to blood transfusions for their babies or do they feel pressured to take that stand for fear of being shunned by the JW community? Who knows? Good to see that they are really getting to the heart of it. bernadette

Look past the mind and all it's words, beliefs and concepts, and discover what is wondrously and undeniably Real.
I should have said pointers instead of concepts. . I have to say its not easy though because one's mind keeps wanting to pull one back into its shenanigans
Amazing,
What you said about the Father Son and holy Spirit dwelling in us seems to suggest to me that we are all talking about the same source but in putting words and names to that source we are all becoming divided.
I often have to remind myself to stop thinking about it but to shift to a heart awareness stance, then I find that praying in words isn't necessary. I'm going to stick with this way of life as it is very peaceful.

bindery...........5th floor building 3 bindery line 5.............. the machines conquer all.. standing in the same spot, doing the same motion thousands of times a day........you would get the 1000 yard stare (seen in the war movies)..........the first week, you would think about everyone you ever meet........the next week you would think about every movie you ever saw...........the next week, about every place you would like to travel to.............................the next week think about every mistake you made...............the next week, someone would walk up and ask you "what are you thinking about?".
"nothing".......you would say........you were brain dead.. there is eternality!......................some hours felt like it.
a good friend of mine, jim pipkorn (also from the lanudry) who was also shafted to the "end sheet gluer" in the bindery, got so depressed that for months, he would come back to his room make himself some dinner and go to bed, at about 7:00 p.m...................i asked him why he was doing that, he said "it makes the days go by quicker" .
Standing in the same spot, doing the same motion thousands of times a day..
Remember when visiting bethel being transfixed by the bros stacking the mags as they came of the machine - couldn't imagine how they could 'enjoy' doing that all day. Poor things - hope they got out as u have done
ok guys, here's the deal... the st louis friends meetup group is taking part in a fundraiser event for the special olympics... and i'm looking for sponsors.. .
"what are we sponsoring you to do?
" i hear you ask... well, if i raise at least $50, then i will be getting dunked in a freezing cold lake in lake st louis.
well done fmz

What is it that all gods, all seemingly separate and isolated things and phenomena exist within? What truly has no beginning and no end? What is it which unites everything and everyone -- no matter what little shard of existence our minds create to which we pray?
I'm tending to agree with what JT said above.
The Gospel of Thomas seems to indicate the same concept.
