Fans of Battlestar Galactica may know that those two words are used a lot in the series.
How did they get away with it when it so obviously just another word for f**k?
It's also used a lot on this forum but that's another topic.

1000's of hitchhikers have been picked up by strangers over the years.
why the set procedures for ones that are df'd when attending meetings?.
(i think i know the answer to this but i look forward to your thoughts first).
My original thought was that they can't have you coming too early and just sitting there as it wouldn't look good if interested ones / studies / non-witnessess visit and see that there is someone that everyone is ignoring. Wouldn't look very loving would it.

In particular, why do you think that Df'd persons are supposed come in as the song starts and leave immediately after the closing prayer?

i attended a convention recently but didn't wear a badge i was treated with the utmost suspicion.
particularly when i arrived during the sessions one day.
the attendant didn't want me wandering off to find a seat on my own.
On a side point, women mostly tend to wear them in the region of their breasts. Doesn't that give the men a good excuse to stare directly at them, the breasts that is.
there is an article in the latest kingdom ministry about counting time spent in the ministry.
one comment surprised me - it says that counting time wrongly can lead to "pangs of conscience".
a bit of an ott expression , i can't help thinking.. the only pangs the local pioneers are concerned about here are hunger pangs as they head to dunkin donuts for a 40 minute "break".
I quite agree with you asleif_dufansdottir.
As if it should make a differance if you drive an hour to/from the service and 'speak' to someone at the beginning/end of the journey.
As Gayle said with regard to T Breaks and paid employment. I'm sure Jehovah is more understanding that any 'worldly' employer. A sales rep would be 'working' even when they are driving 2, 3 hours or more to an appointment. They don't have to speak to someone before they start the journey.

I was wearing my Sunday best and fitted in (or so I thought).
The badges would be very easy to replicate and who knows if you give a false name and congregation (from outside the area).

Any other experiences like this or (being paranoid) is it just me?
Put it this way; if I was an interested person who just walked in to see what was going on. I wouldn't have stayed long as not only was I not made to feel welcome I was treated with total suspicion.
