  i hope i got youre attention, i just got my copy saturday of the new book by richard dawkins called the god delusion read about a third of the way through it last night.

  i love the part found on page 52 about a tea pot.

  this is not an exact quotations but i will paraphrase it.

  what a wonderful response i have received from my last (which was my first post) post from everyone here.

  the one thing that was drilled into my head was that you can not trust anyone that is not a jw.

  i had only one worldly friend since high school and she has been there for me thru everything.

  i remember when i was new in the "troof", i was walking in a mall and a jw window washer saw me, and asked, "what are you doing here"?.

  yeah, he had a good reason to be at the mall, cause he was washing windows, but i had no business there.... i guess he thought that i was being seduced by material stuff.... and i was stupid enough, not to tell him, mind your own business fu**er....

  "Family day" Is this a new jdub thing?

  i know of jws that celebrate "family day" at this time of year.

  i have asked these jw about where they got the term "family day" was it from the watchtower?

  they seem to deny the watchtower had ever mentioned "family day", but i can sense they are trying to hide something here.

  "Family day" is not an official WTS policy/doctrine and you will not find anything in the publications nor hear anything about it from the platform.

  It is one of those secret, behind the scenes ways that individual JWs use to circumvent official doctrine.

  True it is not policy or doctrine; however, it is also not wrong.
