Accepting Destruction To Obtain Life

one of the major premises of most religions is to accept that some must be destroyed in order for others to obtain everlasting life.

of course, there are many platitudes that a person relies on to soothe the conscience and sanitize the mind.. the ones to be destroyed deserve it.

they refuse to do something, worship god, beg for forgiveness, live a clean life, whatever.they are selfish and nobody can change them but themselves.. but underneath the smug acceptance of salvation, while the others suffer destruction is probably the most selfish concept of all.

i hereby propose the following titles to be conferred (with honour) on some of our members:.

atlantis - he is the official archiver of jwd.

thanks to him we have our digital library filled with books containting 'delightful words of truth'.

it's very nice internet site, but my question is :.

are you members of jehovahs witnesses , if yes i think that it's not allowed for us as a jehova's witnesses to make our own website(we must only use the official website of jehova's witnesses)!!

With a new, possibly still in poster, is it wise to jump into a topic with words like "Mind control cult" and what can be percieved as insults to the GB?

I'm just saying (no flames please, I don't enjoy fire :P ) that it doesn't seem like it would encourage a person to stay around for a while longer...

Maybe even give them the impression that everyone around here are angry, evil people. Which isn't true, of course.

Daddy, What's a.....

my wife works weekends 3rd shift , so usually i'm taking care of my 2 sons while my wife sleeps.

today i put my 2 year old down for his nap.

this gave me the opportuniuty to go out to the landfill to get rid of the old bushes and brush my wife pulled up from the backyard.

Do You Still Call It "The Truth"? "The Brothers" etc.

"since i left the truth"..... do you still find yourself using jw terminology?.

Growing up, I was never in a situation where'd I'd call it 'the truth', so I never got used to saying it.

So I certainly don't now.

I still call anyone who attends a 'brother' or 'sister' tho, as I'm not quite sure what else to call them.....and not blow my cover :P . "Idiot" or "Stupid" would be good ones to use instead of brother, but then someone might find me out ;) .
