  What does your city/town smell like??

  while on vacation, we drove through amarillo.

  the smell of cattle was everywhere.

  for the citizens of amarillo, texas, that is the smell of money.. in my town, we have the nearby paper mill, weyerhaeuser.

  I'm surprised mine is the first so far: Pollution.
  
  It's not that bad, you can barely smell it. But we live almost right next to a major highway, so if it's any smell I smell, it's pollution.

  Dinosaurs! How were they explained (away)?

  dinosaurs are a bit of an embarrassment for the watchtower.

  I think the person that said dinosaurs were in that picture must have meant the wooly mamoths. Both of those are prehistoric and extinct.

  Havn't been to the meeting in a week and a half...

  for some reason, we havn't been going to the meeting as regular as we should... .

  mom's as brainwashed as they come tho.....i dunno what's going on.

  we havn't been going to sunday meetings especially, but mom's work schedule messes it up a a bit.

  We missed the sunday meeting today....
  
  And I'm not baptised. Mom never pressured me, or my brothers. But mom was baptized when she was younger, however many millions of years ago that was :P . *gets collectively slapped by every mother alive*
  
  I woke up at 11:30, and thats the time we normally leave. And even tho I was half asleep, I did a little cheer :P . Then I went to sleep again a few seconds later, cuz there's nothing more fun to do, lol.

  Would You Like To Know What Goes On At Elder's Meetings?

  have you ever wondered what goes on at an elder's meeting?

  after a prayer, the presiding overseer will state what the purpose of the meeting is.

  if it's a quarterly meeting, the elders will discuss the spirituality of the congregation, its spirit and any dangerous trends that may be observed.

  Wow....In reading these comments, I just realized I was probably a footnote in a couple of these meetings.
  
  I was personally 'shepherded' by an elder earlier this year. Apparently I've not been 'spiritual' enough (I wonder why) . I gave the required answers....blah blah blah. I'm not doing anything different :P .

  The rest live in Australia, and I also have one that lives in London (you know who you are!)
