Both stories are bullshit.I view salvation as to live a good life and turn the switch off the light goes out.end of story.

by brotherdan injust to be clear and not get in trouble by "someone" on this board, some of what i want to say in this post is adapted from a sermon from dallas willard.
it's in my own words, but i don't want anyone telling me to beg god for forgiveness for "stealing" someone elses work by posting it on a forum.
basically there are 2 ways of viewing the issue of salvation.

Some Confusion - What is this site in regards to JW?
by Green Jade ini seem to have a bit of confusion concerning the purpose of this website and the people in it.
perhaps i am not computer savvy and do not understand some of the expressions used.

I believe you still want to belong to the J.W. family but you have a feeling that they gave you the boot.
You still believe all you were taught,living forever in paradise but fine it hard to reconcile because you have an unbelieving mate and are afraid of losing him. You came here for some answers and rehab.You want to belong and loved by J.W. but are fining it hard because you see the hypocraisy and they are not what the say they are.I believe many come here because the WBTS is/are two-faced.They fine it therapeutic.
Just my humble thaught.

many older ones already are telling the younger ones how they regretted not getting an education, pursuing a lucrative career, saving up money or not having a retirement plan.
the sad truth is that such ones are like the murmurers of israel when coming out of egypt.. what does this remark tell us?.

The R&F will eat all the GB/FS tells them.They the GB/FS set the example they said "look at us we simplified" you do the same less secular work more field service work and Jehovah will provide.However the R&F just don't get it when GB simplify, it means kicking out old time bethlites,selling their high priced real estates,moving printing facilities to countries where they can get away with labour laws such as Canada,closing Mexico,etc,etc.Oh yeah their are countries where they are growing(3rd world).

I said to myself,there are many many J.W. that do not believe the GB/FDS/WBTS and this is their secret place to vent and not get shunned.Sort of their way of telling off the GB/FDS.If the truth be known ,many would leave the cult but it's all about the family.

by bez inmy husband had another 'phone call' last night from the congregation po... the conversation went something like this..... po " i do not want to put words into your mouth but are you saying you no longer want to be recognised as a jw?".
hubby " i am not making that statement no... cut to the chase what are you getting at".

What has happened to you,reminds me of the inquisition ot the 13th/14th century.How the hierarchy ot the R.C.church(FDS/GB) questioned the R&F as to the loyalty to the R.C.church(WBTS).Under torture(shunninig).
