  Dear Syrian Refugees

  welcome to canada from one immigrant to another !.

  calgary is welcoming it's first refugees from syria and iraq so tomorrow i'm going to take all the winter clothing that we have and donate it to a women / children's charity.

  it's not much (well, actually, it's a huge pile ... everything from when we first moved over!

  NWT 2013

  the old nwt contained a byline that indicated westcott and hort was used in the translation of this bible.

  (they are not mentioned in the 2013 release) but you and i both know that their wordings in scripture remain in the new release.. if you check their background, you will find some serious issues with these translators which the society used.

  has anyone googled wh for their spiritual qualifications to include them in the nwt??

  Watchtower Content Producers Tardy With their Monthly Broadcast. WHY?

  they are late every month.. are these the same people that published 128 pages of magazines by the 1st,8th,15th and 22nd of every month for over 100 years?

  speaking of broadcast.On one broadcast K.Flodin said you be the judge does god have a hand in our construction projects?They needed an equipment console for the control room.A large piece of equipment made to order and NOT stocked anywhere for their jw broadcasting studio.A few weeks before the completion date of the studio the brothers went to a company to get this equipment.Miraculously the company had built one for a company in S.A. that was ready to be shipped and was on a dock in N.Y. however the company went bankrupt and the brother could have this equipment for 60% of full price because that company had paid 40%. What the biggest construction company(jw) in the world and no RFP,specs,price,time of delivery.Shame.

  The other broadcast by K.F.talks about this generation.He makes three assumptions what a generation was. Is god's hand in their understanding of the bible.You be the judge.

  Kudos to Those in Military Service or Happy Belated Veterans Day

  in recent years i have come to value our military more and more as time goes by.

  as a jw, i was trained to view those in military service as murderers; or misguided fools.

  they are true heroes that help bring order to society.

  If god personally waged war against nations because they were wicked and oppressive.Should not war be used today against nations that are wicked and oppressive,ie Nazi Germany.

  here is the scenario:a family,father,mother,2 daughters ages 9 &15,a 12 yr old son.eldest daughter wants to go to a movie.parents using the bible explaining why she can't go to this movie because of nudey,sex and swear words.the daughter is disappointed.. the following f.w.

  (family worship) night is on judges ch.19.the daughter blows a gasket and tells her parents that they are blowing smoke out of their asses.

  "you would't let me watch a make-believe movie and you want me to meditate on a woman getting gang raped and cut to pieces,how sick it that -bang..

  well, my sister-in-law and her husband, special pioneers for only a couple of years, just got their letter.. her comment was along the lines of, "they're having to do this because they forgave all those kingdom hall loans a few years ago and the brothers aren't donating anymore.".

  when my wife told me, i laughed so hard i farted.
