The average liberal lives in a world where to feel desire is equivalent to a legitimate claim on the object being desired. The average liberal lives in a world where “No” is a dirty word which is verboten even to be spoken, and all good people and institutions exist (or should) to say “Yes” to whatever their heart desires. In the make-believe world of the average liberal, government exists to provide to the liberal that which he cannot or will not go to the effort of providing for himself, as well as to provide for him what stingy unbelievers refuse to render.

What DO I think about Glenn Beck?
by AK - Jeff ini think of myself as 'moderate libertarian' if i must attach a lapel card.
and i'm not sure that is entirely the correct one.. i endorse fiscal conservative thinking, believe in limited government, and a strong domestic defense policy.
in these areas, i could find myself in agreement with the talk show host.

Glenn Beck loves America and what it stands for....more than I can say for the Anti American Liberals who are trying in everyway to destroy this country.....Our country isn't perfect but before the Hollywood Liberals and MSM started trashing our Land of the Free and the home of the Barve it was close. No other country has ever been as great. THEN the Liberal Anti Americans came along with....no morals, no God....Sad

I like Glenn, if not for Glenn Beck, I would still be wondering what the hell happened to our country...I have never in my life seen so many Anti American Left wing Liberal Progressives. Where did they all come from...I think they came out of the closet after they elected Obama. AND the Communist are out in open....THANK GOD for GLENN BECK....he has awaken many Americans

The role of the Home Bible Study arrangement in JW brainwashing
by MrMonroe ini've just started reading "year of doom, 1975: the inside story of jehovah's witnesses" by english author j.c. stevenson.
it was published in 1967 as basically a memoir of his years in the dubs, including time as a pioneer, and an explanation of the methods used by them to make the organisation grow.. it's not the best "insider" book i've written, but there is a section i've uploaded below that makes some interesting points about the home bible study procedure and why it is so effective at turning interested people into baptism candidates.
reading through this, i see myself back in the mid-80s sitting there getting led, week by week, into the trap.. this section is from chapter 2, "the seed is watered" in which he explains the typical process following a few return visits.. .

Anyone got the December KM yet for UK
by alanv inas it is the end of the jw service year, it would be nice to see how they finished up in august 2010 as regards total publishers.. quite often there seems to be a big push to get as many as possable to put in a service report to finish the year off.. so a scan would be good or just a report on how many publishers they ended up with.
thanks.

Can we understand the Bible without the Watchtower?
by brotherdan innot according to c.t russell.
in the september 15, 1910 wt he made these shocking claims regarding the 6 scripture studies that he wrote:.
"that is to say, they are not merely comments on the bible, but they are practically the bible itself...".

Brotherdan, The Bible is a guide, no doubt about that! The Old testament gives us an insight to God's directions and education of his people he chose to continue until Christ came....the new testament is a record of Jesus Christ life and teaching for us to follow. Prayer is the key.
