  What Advice Would You Give To Anyone Who's Thinking Of Going Back To The Witnesses?

  when certain old friends love bomb you or try to make you think of the "good old days", what do you suggest to help them appreciate the reality of things?.

  I would tell them " I have learn the defference between God and the Watchtower Org. and prefer and chose God. ( however I will use the name Jehovah for their understanding)

  who has been even kinda wealthy....then poor?...

  i know it is happening a bunch in the usa....and ya...jesus said the poor will aways be with us.....but is it true that the rich are no happier than the poor?......is there a middle ground where happy flourishes?

  i am not poor by any means, but my income is about to change bigtime!

  and i am just not lookin forward to it.........oompa.

  If you were born poor, you never notice, especially if you have a close nett family....it's beans and rice all week except on Sunday...a special day to have meat...my Mom and Dad were good cooks and so our meals tasted good anyway. Sometimes we had oatmeal for breakfast or toast with margarine. It was kinda embarrassing going to school with holes in my shoe. The teacher's never paid any attention to me cause I wasn't in their upper class society. Well that was the norm....so it didn't bother me. Some kids were worse off.

  Later on in life with hard work I made it to the upper middle class and I can tell tell you...It can help to have money and money CAN make you happy in many ways. Just don't let go of your morals and keep your feet on the ground and remember from where you came.

  Field service during the district convention

  i remember back when the convention used to be four days, and there was no afternoon session on friday(or was it thursday?).

  instead we were supposed to go out in field service in the afternoon.

  they did this up until about the early to mid-80's.

  I can still remember the sound of AOL trying to get online....

  I didn't use the Internet to often as you were charged by the minute on dail-up....Then AOL started charging $19.95 a month for dail-up access about the year 1995 0r 96 and the Internet took off like a rocket. Bill Gates windows also helped in that regard also.

  the creation account, the flood, jonah in the whale, etc.

  scriptures that are scientifically falsifiable.

  a more detailed look at the just released american religious identification survey (aris) shows witnesses have increased from 1,331,000 in 1991 to 1,914,000in 2008. that is 583,000 more people, or a whopping 43.8 percent growth.

  they now make up 0.8 percent of the u.s. population.. who says jws are in the decline?.

  I sometimes think that many witnesses might have left the WTS to follow Obama in 2008 and in coming years we will see a decline.
