My current mail server is shutting down, so I've got a new email address.
But how do I change my email address/username on my JWD account?

If there were no boundaries, where would you like to live?
by JH inno boundaries, but still differenet speaking languages, and different looking people and different customs, but no boundaries so you could find work anywhere and have the same privileges than you would have in your own country.. i'd definitely move where it's warmer.
that wouldn't be hard to find.... .

I would like to live exactly where I live today, but it would be nice if the place could be relocated some 2-3000 kilometers to the south...

Pathetic Speakers
by Alpaca inthis is great.
i was suffering through an interminably long sunday p.m. public talk (we flip-flopped w/ the other cong--at least sunday a.m. was a little more tolerable because there was still some of the day left to do something).
the speaker was talking about "physical training being beneficial for a little" and how some exercise was necessary.

Has the number of 144,000 changed?
by TooBad TooSad inthrough out my witness life i have always believed that when the partakers at memorial went up that means.
that some of the anoited were unfaithful and had to be replaced.
i have beleived this for 40 years.

Undercover:
«If there are 8,000 remnant left and 10 "fell away" and had to be replaced with 10 new ones, then the number is still 8000.»
Not if the 10 that has fallen didn't get the message... :-)

does the ability to pray come naturally??
by lostyettobefound inhey guys as you can see i am still new and still keen to hear other peoples points of view on my issues.
anyway i always wondered because i have friends who are pentecostals who seem to have this amazing ability to pray and they feel like they are talking to god.
i never ever felt like i was communicating with someone when i prayed it always seemed futile and it always seemed like a repetition of someone elses prayer.

This was one of the things that in the end made me leave to never return.
In meetings and conventions there were always these sisters and brothers on the platform that told that they had this personal father relationship with Jehovah. And that praying gave them strength and a great feeling and so on.
I never felt like this, and I have no idea what this was supposed to be like.
I could might as well have prayed to the wall, that's how I felt.
I never had any feeling that told me that God was close to me.
I tried to intensify my studying, but It became too routine, and it was too boring, unless there were some action involved. And history.
When reading the bible I loved the Book of Esther, the Book of Judges, and the fun parts with histories and action. And hated the Psalms and the prophetic books. Nothing happened.
I don't know.
But i know that I did not feel any difference between praying regularly (before dining and before sleeping -- only because I was told is was the right ting to do) and not praying at all, so I tend to stick to the last one.

Talk on Apostates
by IslandBrother inhave you ever walked on the beach and tried following another persons footprints; matching your own steps with them as exactly as possible?
by calling ourselves christians, we have indicated our desire to do just that, to follow closely in the footsteps of christ.
have you ever noticed though that on a crowded beach, , there were several sets of footprints, many of them may look alike.

Quoting Garybuss:
"So Friends, hypothetically, and I repeat hypothetically, even if an angel were to come down here and land on this platform, today, at this moment, and to present something to us that didn't fit into the pattern of truth, what should we be ready to do? We should be ready to say, "Hold on there, that doesn't fit into the pattern, and I am not going to listen to it!", Yes even if it were one of Jehovah's angels."
Minute 23, Beware Of The Voice Of Strangers, District Convention Of Jehovah's Witnesses, Selkirk, Manitoba, July 12, 2003

Well, Peter tried that finger-in-ear tactic, did he not? When this carpet, or somthing, with banned food came down from the heavens. God demanded him to eat, and he refused. Not once but a number of times. But he was reprimanded.
And when were talking about Peter.
When Peter, the most clumsy, truthlacking disciple of all times, were given the most honourable tasks (the keys, and beeing the rock), there should be hope for anyone...

Things YOU eat, that other people think is weird.
by misanthropic inthis mornings events have got me thinking about things.
i love peanut butter, not the sweet kind but i like the old fashioned peanut butter, usually laura scudder's with no sugar or preservatives - it just tastes better imo.
i put it on everything including pancakes which are really good with peanut butter and maple syrup.
