a jw that i engaged in a series of debate finally posed this question.
i can see that he is running out of his "canned" answers and he wants to defend his organization desperately or he doesn't want to admit that he is dead wrong.
so he uses this faulty logic to depend his belief system.
ukescott, I'd ask you, where do you want the Jehovah's Witness to go if she quit being a Jehovah's Witness? You must have a motive in debating with a Jehovah's Witness. Why are you debating the Witness?
Would you allow someone to debate you on your beliefs on the same level as you are debating the Jehovah's Witness?
That's a good question. I believe that there are definitely many other better alternatives. But since I have never been in WT myself, I'd like to hear more about your insights.

i am in a debate with korean jw's over the divinity of jesus.
i showed them tons of scripture that imply that jesus is divine.
they reluctantly accepted those and argue that jesus may be a "mighty" god, not "almighty" god and that jehovah alone is almighty.

i am currently reading '20 questions jehovah's witnesses cannot answer' by charles love, former jw and elder.
this guy argues that the paradise for the great crowd on earth that jw's believe is actually judge rutherford's invention in 1935 to solve the delimmea that only 144,400 were supposed to go to heaven and there were more jw's living.
can anybody confirm that his argument is true?.
Thanks Leolaia for the clarification.
One more favor: Could you elaborate "protected remnant doctrine from prophetic failure"? Please pardon me for my ignorance of JW's historical background.

mormons claim that they don't have paid cleargy.
it is true if they are taking about local churches.. but they have so many paid leaders in their organization: the general authorities made up of the first presidency, the twelve apostles, and the seventies, and seminary institute teachers, branch office administrators and staffs in each country, and etc.. what about the wts?
who are the "paid cleargy"?

What about the WTS? Who are the "paid cleargy"? How well are lay JW's informed of this?
i have been researching similar religions (christadelphians, church of god, sdas.
mormons, bible students) and just posted a new section at http://www.jwfacts.com/index_files/similar.htm.
below are comments from mormons and x mormons that i found on the internet.
Isn't it interesting? If you want to find on your own more about the parallel btween JW and Mormons, visit the following websites.
This website is like www.jehovahs-witness.com. It has very acting dissussion board which has more than 100,000 daily hits as well as so many valuable links and archives.
If you want to know the recovering process many exmos go through:

If you want to get a snap shot of what Mormon Church teaches:
as ex-mormon, my exposure to a different version of the first vision story which was quite different from the offical first vision was my beginning way out of mormonism.
what about you ex-jw's?
what, in terms of wt doctrine, made you realize that the wt is a fraud?.

as ex-mo, i know the mormon church makes millions of dollars each year by having its faithful members pay tithings and running quite a few businesses.
i am pretty sure wt as a corporate makes millions of dollars each year.
otherwise it wouldn't build thousands of kh's across the world i guess.
