  I've been out so long I hadn't heard about it. That place looks like a compound...it's huge. They have tennis and basketball courts...wonder if they have free time to use them.

  Got another letter published in our local paper!!

  this time i thought for sure they wouldn't publish this one...but i believe our local paper, the stevens point journal is a very liberal, progressive little newspaper.

  the elders ignored my last letter...i wonder if they can ignore this one???

  I am so tired...........

  it is midnight and i have just got out of bed......................no sleep for me tonight ...........again.

  i am so tired.

  i suffer from insomnia like a lot of posters here but when i do sleep, a couple of times a week at worse or once every couple of months i have night terrors.. *these only started when i found out the truth about the org, so i can only conclude its stress.

  I have insomnia really bad too. Only get a couple of hours sleep a night. It's really hard on the body and I just read that it usually, but not always, goes hand-in-hand with depression. The article suggested sleeping pills to get your body used to a regular routine. I sleep better when exercising regularly.

  Retiring today!

  today is my 60th birthday, so i am now officially retired!

  actually, my last day at work was yesterday, and my colleagues gave me flowers, wine, chocolate and took me out to lunch.. this is the first birthday i've ever had as a non jehovahs witness, and it feels very strange to be even acknowledging it, let alone celebrating.

  i am going out tomorrow evening with trev, linda and a few other fading or former jws for a curry at a local restaraunt, which i'm very much looking forward to.

  My new pink scarf

  here's my new pink scarf, knitted in five days.

  it's pink and long and very fluffy.

  it absorbed a lot of hyper energy, as i'm coming off a very stressful month at work.

  Thank you for sharing this information.

  The chart on page 3 is very confusing. The way it is arranged makes it look like everything on that page isn't allowed by Christains. But, that is contrary to what is written on the first page where it says it's a matter of conscience. I had to check back and forth between the two page about three times to make sure I was reading everything correctly. It will be very difficult for many of the JW's to understand this insert. They have made this subject very scientific now and most won't do the needed research to fully understand it.

  It's very upsetting that the WTBS is changing their stance on this subject. Of course, if anyone complains about the change, especially if they have lost a loved one, the org will just say at least the person passed in good standing and faithful and that they will have a chance to be resurrected.

  Errrrrrrrrr, I'm so frustrated and upset right now.

  Yippie! Early Happy B-day.

  Turning 30 was really liberating for me, and I stopped worrying so much about other's opinions and started becaming my own person...life starting making sense. More importantly, I finally enjoyed my b-day party without all the guilt.
