I'd put some variation of the following:
If they stop at your door, ask them why they actively expose pedophilia problems in other religions but have paid eleven million dollars to victims in their own organization. Ask them why their leaders required the vicitms to sign waivers forbidding them from talking about the abuse they encountered. Ask them whether they are allowed to read literature that is critical of their organization. Ask them what happens to a person that DOES read such literature and is discovered to be reading such by the elders.
Ask them what their viewpoint is on sending their kids to college. Ask them whether they are at your door to try and convert you. When they tell you no, ask them if it is OK for them to lie about wanting to convert you or not. As one who was a part of the organization for many, many years, I can assure you that that is why they are there. They want to offer you a bible study so they can teach you about their cruel, vicious God, get you frightened about Armageddon, and convince you that your only hope is to join with them to avoid being destroyed by God and his chief angel, Jesus Christ. Yes, that's right, I said that they consider Jesus Christ to merely be the most powerful angel. -

My Grandma turns 90 tomorrow

she normally doesn't like us making a fuss, but she's cooperating for this one.
i guess cuz it's such an important number.. she's my mom's mom.

Everything went well. I love these things since I get to see so many relatives I don't run into that often. Grandma had a great time. She normally doesn't like her picture taken, but she didn't even complain today. We took a lot of her opening up her gifts.
My cousin Ryan was there too. He plays in a band, Between Mirages , based out of Kasson/Mantorville here in Minnesota. He's their drummer.

Your dying, you are given one last wish, and that is ....
by free2beme inmy mother in law was diagnosed with breast cancer in october.
had the surgery and they found it metastized to the lungs.
she is doing chemotherapy now, but the cancer is spread pretty wide and thus an organization called making memories has given her a one last wish grant of $6000.

Surely the WT wouldn't LIE about motel/hotel accommodations?!?
by RisingEagle ini was eating lunch with 3/4 of my active jw family earlier today and they were bemoaning the idea that they were going to have to leave the central oklahoma area very early tomorrow morning to find a room so they could attend an assembly on the otherside of the state.
they had tried calling the 'approved' hotels and motels in the town where the assembly is being held and they were all booked.
so that left them looking at the rest of the approved list and having to travel as much as 50 miles away to get a room.
