My mother in law was diagnosed with breast cancer in October. Had the surgery and they found it metastized to the lungs. She is doing chemotherapy now, but the cancer is spread pretty wide and thus an organization called Making Memories has given her a one last wish grant of $6000. Now she loves her five grandchildren and loves to do things with them. Because she is pretty poor, she has often made comments about how she would love to take them all to Disneyland or something like that. Something to make their final memories of her, a positive fun one and she could enjoy he time with them with some fun to watch in their eyes. Sounds like a good idea, right?
Today she told us she is using the $6000 to take her and my father in law to Bethel in NYC. Now the rest of the family (Including all the grandchildren) are not Witnesses. The only one going will be my sister in law, the rest are not Witnesses. Guess she did not want to give her grandchildren that last positive memory, after all.
What would you choose?
