i was reading the article in the nov awake about musterbation (not a typo, i just hate that word & have to rephrase it)!!.

it took me back to the days as a young man who had normal feelings of a sexual nature.

new in the truth and fighting, with every fibre of my being, (at least in the beginning) against the idea of having a ham shank.

i remember when they wouldn't give me the kingdom ministry because i wasn't an approved associate/publisher/baptised.

i started thinking god everybody knows that i am not good enough for jehovah.

if i had of only known then what i know now, i wouldn't have fell for it.

Yes, they do start out early - from the very first study.

I was twenty when I had my first study with the jw. I had never heard of the group before, a fact which my bible study conductor didn't believe. Knowing what I know now, I bet he thought I was an apostate or something. Anyway, the first study I attended was actually my friend's study. He was on Chapter 3 of the live forever book, who is god. (I think, it's been a while)

We came to the point where the book makes the assertion that god's name is jehovah. (I think they capitalized the J though). Anyway, I had never heard that name either and I told the study conductor. He then told me that I needed to use that name or I wouldn't be talking to god. He told me that if I didn't call god by the name jehovah, that it was anyone's bet who would get my prayer (apparently prayer delivery is even worse than mail deliver here on earth.)

So, I started thinking about all the times I'd felt that I'd prayed to god and that he'd answered me and I was a bit offended. I wish I would have been enough offended to halt the study, but I can't go back and change the past. At any rate, this "servant of god" actually had the gall to judge my prayers, prayers that he didn't know anything about on the very first day he met me.

I believe the bible was written by man under Divine Inspiration, you do not. We have no foundation to form a basis of understanding since we disagree. I choose not to continue a discussion with you. You can start your own thread if you like. Have a good evening.

Revelations Chapter 22, verses 1 and 2.
You stated that John was under the influence of ludes, did you not? Where does it say that in the bible? A question from the bible should be answered from the understanding of the words written in the bible. Do you agree with this? Where did I say that I can see through water? How should I reply to your words that have no backing? You defame the Author of the bible and His prophet John by saying he was under the influence of a drug created by man.

First of all, we haven't even defined terms. You are running with the assumption that the bible was written by God. I however believe that it's just a book used by people throughout history to justify killing fellow humans that they didn't like. Now, if you still want to continue this conversation, I'd be glad to (lets start our own thread because that was kind of rude of me).

Because if even one person who could have been reached by the message of Christ and led a better life here on earth is denied that because of your gossip and lies about a denomination of Christians ( the Jehovahs Wittness or the Catholics )then you all are in deep doo doo.

Wow! You must be pretty important in God's organization since he allows you to go around judging people and such. Since that's the case, could you answer me a question?

Why are the Mexicans allowed to BRIBE officials to get out of serving in the military but the Malawians have to be beaten, raped, and killed for it?

I can't understand why the Witnesses think that the entire World is evil

in their black and white world, the jw's think that everything that isn't jw is evil.. every day, i visit my dad at a nursing home, a place where dying people go, and i see so many good people, many volunteers, helping out the sick and dying.

witnesses may preach and know their bible better than the average person.

but i prefer people who don't know their bible as well, but have a heart and donate to the poor or help the sick and have compassion.. maybe one day when the average age of witnesses will be higher, maybe they will start to understand that there is more than preaching.

Stay in the group like nice sheeple so we can control every aspect of your life.
Don't read, don't use the internet, don't talk to anyone who is not a Dub, and by all means spend at least 15 hours a week in meetings or preparing for them.

You forgot about the most important one: Don't forget to talk down to those who don't agree with everything you say.
