15And he says to me: "The waters that you saw, where the harlot is sitting, mean peoples and crowds and nations and tongues. 16 And the ten horns that you saw, and the wild beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her devastated and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire. 17 For God put [it] into their hearts to carry out his thought, even to carry out [their] one thought by giving their kingdom to the wild beast, until the words of God will have been accomplished. 18 And the woman whom you saw means the great city that has a kingdom over the kings of the earth."

What meaning does this have to you? How did you understand the FDS to interpret it?

    Thanks,

The notion that the events unfold according to God's will is connected to Revelation 10:7 which states that "the mystery of God will be accomplished [through the opening of the seventh seal], just as he announced to his servants the prophets". Here God plans the destruction of Rome (v. 18) for its persecution and murder of the Christians (v. 6), and he accomplishes this by inciting the vassal nations of Rome (v. 12-13) to side with the returning Emperor (v. 9-11), a.k.a. the Beast (= Nero redivivus). They help Nero complete his failed attempt to burn down Rome, and the city is destroyed completely (ch. 18).

If you are looking for a dub type explanation:

quote from wt 9/15 page 19

Bible prophecy indicates that militarized powers within the United Nations will see religion as a disturbing element and will act to destroy modern-day Jerusalem--Christendom--as well as the rest of Babylon the Great.

The idea is that the UN will not come to this decision by some logical conclusion but that Jehovah will put it into their hearts to carry out his one thought. This becomes their (governments) one thought.

If a person on ludes can tell the future under divine inspiration then so be it. If you have nothing to offer in explanation why answer?

Ah, so you are the one who determines whose replies qualifiy as being legitimate or not. Gotcha, I'll run em by you in the future.
