  dress to impress, get all slathered up and have your little or lots of flesh showing, depending on your blouse, skirt, pants or shorts....that people(men) are not supposed to stare at you?.

  seriously, if your at home in your closet deciding which outfit you're gonna wear to work, school or out to play, and thinking how you'll look more attractive in this or that....do you not know that guys are gonna stare at you?

  but you see these females on occasion that will get all in an uproar when some guy is staring at them....but hello...didn't you choose with pin-point accuracy, the exact top that's gonna reveal your cleavage at it's fullest?????

  OK, so there's people here proving their hypocracy, some being sexist and some who just don't think properly, but say others are ignorant.

  Definition of Ignorant:

  1. Lacking education or knowledge.
  2. Showing or arising from a lack of education or knowledge: an ignorant mistake.
  3. Unaware or uninformed.

  Personally, I think the premise for this thread falls under definition #3. But you are saying that calling someone ignorant is a bad thing? Only when we admit our ignorance can we learn and enlighten ourselves. I'm not trying to sound "above it all." Thats just the truth. And to have the archaic attitude that women shouldn't be dressed a certain way or if they do expose cleavage, that they invite gawking stares is an "unaware and/or uninformed" opinion. I would add unenlightened as well.

  Even if you don't gawk Ness, you certainly have defended those that do. Thats just wrong. Sorry. It isn't the womans fault, it is the piggish male who may have been raised to think that treating and viewing women like that is acceptable. But it is now time to re-educate all men. This is nuts to have to defend letting a woman dress and act like they wish, but I guess it is necesarry.

  Save the blank picture to your "My Pictures" folder. right click and edit in Paint. Click text, and play around. Save it to Photobucket.... Copy the link into the "insert picture" button next to the smiley/emoticon button.... Voila!

  Noah's preaching--"they took no note"

  however, it gives no indication that he undertook a global campaign to warn people of a coming flood of which they 'took no note'.. in gen chap 6 god gave noah very detailed instructions about building the ark.

  in 6:18 and 7:1 he gave specific instructions about who to take into the ark.

  Yes, it is generally accepted that 120 years elapsed in the building of the ark. I meant that the animals were gathered and the earth supposedly was flooded and "drained" in a years time... (it was early and I didn't have my coffee I.V. hooked up. ) Thanks for the correction.

  On further review, I guess 4 men building a huge "Titanic" made ship out of wood that could hold the entire amount of the NYC Zoo 8 times over in 120 years makes a lot more sense then if it took 1 year. I BELIEVE!!

  Just kidding.

  As you can tell by my sarcasm, I haven't quite made peace with myself for believing this fairy tale all those years I was a borgite. I can say that when I had the chance to give the public talk "The Flood of Noahs's Day Has Meaning For You" I looked at the outline and got crosseyed and gave it back. I couldn't give that talk. Pure rubbish.. Not that I admitted that to my conscious self at the time...

  I know it is an arguement for thiests to debate about whether to totally believe the flood as a historical fact, a parbale, a lesson, etc. So, enjoy!

  It does seem to be a moot point though with no evidence that it happened. Did Noah preach to the world? Did Noah even exist? Could a 600 year old man build such a structure and gather the animals in a year? Those seem to be more relevant questions. The fact that JW's use Noah as an early "witnessing preacher" is just an oddity, an example of a fringe group taking a legend for its own purposes..... To say nothing of the fact that they also use the Noah account as the first example of typology, where all the charecters represent Jehovah, Jesus, and the 144,000. As I have to go to work and don't want to start a migraine, if I remember, I will post those "logical" types and antitypes tonight. Because when you get down to it, that is what the flood means to JW's, another piece of propaganda to get you to think that the 144,000 and the GB were prophecied about in the bible...

  Out of principle, I am not going to answer their interpretation. If you have WT library, you can type "transfiguration" into the search engine. Then you can read up on the drug induced fantasy that is the transfiguration. If you say it correctly in front of the TMSO, they will pat you on the head and tell you how spiritual you are. Just remember to recite the fairy tale properly.

  If you have the opportunity to go to college, go to college. You will figure out the rest from there, esp when you feel ready to do the inevitable...

  As I left the borg, I realized that I had at one time believed hundreds of things I never ever examined. Now out of necessity, I don't believe any of it just because it had come from a clearly compromised source. The flood was one....

  Of course, a worldwide flood a few thousand years ago didn't happen.The science doesn't support it and the way the building was built along with how the animals were "gathered" is absurd. Also for the JW slant on this legend, the idea of Noah preaching TO THE ENTIRE WORLD is an interesting thought. For example, could it be just for god to destroy all of the world without warning them first? Would it be possible for one man to warn the entire world? No to both. UNLESS the "world" only existed locally...

  That would mean that what really happened is that some local flood that killed a lot of people got blown out of proportion and turned into legend, which is what many believe to have happened.

  Of course, according to the JW's, the best evidence we really have for the flood of Noah's day is that Jesus said it happened. Well, that settles it for me! But of course! An unlikely legendary event is reported as fact by a man who lived 2000 years ago and who himself got a legendary "boost" from writers with clearly biased intentions.....

  Sorry for the sarcasm, I am in a mood today.. lol....
