Grandma's in the Hospital- Help on a "JW in the family" problem

a bit long, but i really need to vent, and i really need your replies.. my uncle is a jw, his wife and son and daughter-in-law are jw's, too.. they all moved away from family over 15 years ago, serving where the need was greater.. they went out west to new mexico, then other places.

they all broke off all contact with their .

parents (my uncles parents who are my grandparents, and my aunt's parents who i don't know well).

HALLELUJAH!!!! I was going to tell you to Pray, ask God to help you reach him....I mean I'm sitting here crying.. Me being a family person, I cldnt handle this story, and after losing my mom in october, I was getting angry with your uncle, but hearing and seeing all the emotional stress the wts cause the members to go thru, I hv great sympathy for him, wife and son. I cant even imagine his thoughts. We can never know what someone else goes thru til we walk in his shoes and that is an imposibility.

Boy, I tell the Lord all the time he made me too sensitive...but im glad things seem to be going ok.

Why Did Jesus Not Write Anything ?

have you ever wondered why jesus did not put anything in writing?

he was here to explain his father to us and teach us how to gain salvation.

wouldn't it have been a good thing to write his instructions down, rather than leave it up to others many years later?

I met an ex jw at church today!

i recently wrote an email to my pastor and let him know of my story and journey up until this point.. he thanked me for blessing him with my story and had stated that he was praying for me and my situation and my 3 children.

he was very encouraging, positive, and loving.

after getting his quick response, i received another email from him stating that he had just received an email from another ex jw and how similar her story was to mine.

i've got extended family that live out of state who are active witnesses and my husband's father is an elder.

my family is so not a part of our lives, that the only time we speak are for funerals.

i don't even hear about births anymore.

My husb studies with the JWs. I've been to 1 of their sunday svcs, and a theocratic mtg. I found them boring and judgmental. Was just interested to see how they celebrate at the memorial. Nothing more. Thanks for the info.

P.S. My house is a do not call or Marked shall I say.

Well, me being a former info operator and holding the highest accolades nationwide in my company was more than happy to assist a customer in every way possible. Sometimes (all the time ), people wld call not knowing the name of a business, or tell you its right on the corner I'm standing down the street form it, or the most nonsensible request, I just love helping people. You never know what their situation is, take is as a compliment. You never know when you will need the help from others that you deem a ridiculous request. Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you!
