  your color prefence can tell you about your personality and hidden secrets...........you can take the "color test" in a book call the "luchser color test" by max luchser they give you 8 colors to arrange.

  a great book.

  when i thinking of dating someone they get the test first thing..........it saves alote of time for meand them...........i don't date people who choose green, black or grey in first poistion.. nb.

  Going door to door to recruit members doesn't work

  when you look at all the hours they do going door to door world wide and then you look at how many hours preaching it takes to bring just 1 person to their organization, it's not efficient.. my mom goes to a baptist church now, and i was surprised to know that 500 go to that meeting on sundays and they don't go door to door to go get these people.. there might be 80 witnesses at my hall and going door to door doesn't make much of a difference.

  maybe it's even counter productive since people don't like being pested at home..

  Do You Get Any Pleasure Out of the Holidays Since Leaving the Watchtower?

  yesterday was my crappy birthday, http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/20/127389/1.ashx and while the evening went along, i realized something.

  i've been out of the watchtower for about 6 years now and i still don't enjoy the holidays or my birthday.

  i can't recall one time saying to myself, "wow, that was so much fun.

  zensim, agreed whole-heartedly. My husb's children (11 & 12 ) were with us for 14 months and werent use to celebrating b-days, xmas or any holidays for the last 7 yrs...however Miss Thing ( me ) gave them a b-day party,cake ice cream. games, the works and told them they are very special to God. So special that he chose that very day for them to be born!! they enjoyed it to the fullest...gifts and all! My husb who studies with the jw's said nada!

  Hello Jayhawk,

  I've never been a jw, however my sister was in the borg for 25 yrs. Whilee we were growing up we celebrated each and every holiday...didnt matter which...we celebrated. She was involved with a family in her teens who were jw's so she took on that religion...cuz my mom didnt push religion on us bcuz of her exp with religion as a child I suppose. During her jw days she didnt celebrate but it was a struggle for her, she wld become so depressed.

  She is no longer a jw, but gets upset bcuz her children dont buy her mom day or xmas gifts, but honor their father with gifts. This rekigion has her so confuse abt the holidays (pagan). This past Thanx'g she said I hate this day...I replied "This is the day that The Lord has made!!"..so she goes to the store and buy turkey and the fixins for the day...Christmas she came down to help me serve the homeless xmas dinner. She has a very giving heart, wld give her life to help anyone, nothing like what I have seen in the jw org whith just the few that I know, always looking for a handout. The jw's in Las Vegas wld call her the flamboyant witness cuz she is a really nice dresser....bottomline is she too is tormented with the jw belief on holidays, but learning to rejoice in them!!!

  Do you Give to Charities or Donate Time?

  i never knew of any jehovah`s witness to give anything to the community..ever!

  !..they don`t mind taking,but they don`t give back.except in the way of manditory tax`s.....i sometimes drop a dollar or two into a donation can.i take clothes,kitchen items,electrical appliances,food or anything else i`m not using and give it to "charity"..i never let anything usefull go to waste.someone in need,gets it!.....not everyone is in a position to do this and thats ok.....for those who are in a position to help those in need:..do you give to charities or donate time?...outlaw

  Im a Christian, and hv always given of my time and money and I am POOR! However I am never without. I hv a homeless feeding ministry that I started 5 yrs ago whereas I cook and serve dinner once a week to aprox 60-75 persons (in the downtown area of Los Angeles)..delicious home-cooked meals and they are always oh so grateful!!!! My husb who studies with the jw's will sometime accompany me, He appears to enjoy it very much. I remember once I asked him to go with me cuz I didnt hv anyone to help me...he said NO!!! my feelings were hurt, I cried...so I went into my prayer closet and said Lord change his mind...walked back into the kitchen...and as God is Faithful...he had changed his mind!!!

  For those that feel they caant afford it..My income is $680.00 month. I tithe, and provide all the food for these meals. I am always giving. Try giving out of your need and watch the return. Give and it shall be given unto you!!!

  My Mom passed away today.

  after a lenthy illness, 10 years in total, my mother, margaret stecko, passed away peacefully today surrounded by family.

  she was 84, and leaves behind 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

  she was a jw but never shunned me.

  HUGSSSSSSSSSSS Finally Free,

  I deeply mourn your loss, as I too lost my mom 10/10/06. Yes, she too is finally free and she lived a long life...84y.o. What a beautiful testimony, holding her 8th great-grandchild and with a wonderful & proud smile. You were a blessing to her, you were there til the very end...God Bless You!!!
