My husb studies with the JWs. I've been to 1 of their sunday svcs, and a theocratic mtg. I found them boring and judgmental. Was just interested to see how they celebrate at the memorial. Nothing more. Thanks for the info.
P.S. My house is a do not call or Marked shall I say.

Does this bug you???
by Sunnygal41 inwhen a party on the telephone asks you for the number of some other business?

Well, me being a former info operator and holding the highest accolades nationwide in my company was more than happy to assist a customer in every way possible. Sometimes (all the time ), people wld call not knowing the name of a business, or tell you its right on the corner I'm standing down the street form it, or the most nonsensible request, I just love helping people. You never know what their situation is, take is as a compliment. You never know when you will need the help from others that you deem a ridiculous request. Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you!

Funny pet pics
by Jourles indo you have any funny pet pics?
misanthropic's puppy pics reminded me of a picture i had of our cat chillin' in a sink.
it's ironic in that she is extremely afraid of water - even little drops that splash on her.

Going door to door to recruit members doesn't work
by JH inwhen you look at all the hours they do going door to door world wide and then you look at how many hours preaching it takes to bring just 1 person to their organization, it's not efficient.. my mom goes to a baptist church now, and i was surprised to know that 500 go to that meeting on sundays and they don't go door to door to go get these people.. there might be 80 witnesses at my hall and going door to door doesn't make much of a difference.
maybe it's even counter productive since people don't like being pested at home..

My husb's children (11 & 12 ) were with us for 14 months and werent use to celebrating b-days, xmas or any holidays for the last 7 yrs...however Miss Thing ( me ) gave them a b-day party, cake ice cream. games, the works and told them they are very special to God. So special that he chose that very day for them to be born!! they enjoyed it to the fullest...gifts and all! My husb who studies with the jw's said nada!
