Ladies' toilets are always nicer anyway. Not to get off topic here but I have never understood men being comfortable whipping out their dongs and publicly spraying.

Transexual starts a study...what happens next??
by digderidoo inso my mother was telling me that a transexual, don't know if she's pre or post op (nobody does apparently), has started attending meetings and started a bible study.. she answers up in meetings and has been attending a few weeks.
apparently she looks very much like a woman but has a distinctive masculine voice.
i asked my mother what will happen?

Who pays for this?
by sizemik inthe precedent set here will mean a criminal record and a fine and/or other penalties for the legal caregiver of any jw minor who suffers injury or dies through not receiving blood.
with over 200,000 witnesses in russia, this could become a regular occurrance.. any loss of life as a result of this misguided belief should indeed be punished or deterred by law.. but i just wonder .
who will meet the cost for these ones?.

Chariklo- for someone who was never even baptised, you show understanding akin to someone who was raised a Witness.
Are you male or female, btw? I can't decide!
I found the article interesting, although I'd also be intrigued to know if blood would certainly have saved his life. And what about all the apparent alternatives that the blood card states? Would these not have been sufficient?

Thanks Chickpea; yep we're the lucky ones I guess, standing up for ourselves when everyone else seems to be against us.
Can I ask, is your son Transgender? I wasn't sure if I had read that somewhere. If you'd rather I PMd you about it I can.
I don't regret coming out, either as a lesbian or from the organization; I just truly wish I had let myself be known to others so that anyone else like me who was hiding themselves in the congregation would see that the world doesn't collapse when you walk from a Kingdom Hall.

How strange- I was looking into this subject when I came across this thread that has just been bumped.
It makes me so angry when I think of how I was treated simply for being gay. I didn't ask for this at all. Try telling a four year old to trust in Jehovah when she is terrified that her thoughts about marrying a woman are going to get her destroyed at Armageddon.
TG is a delicate topic and I would LOVE to contact Bethel to get their opinion on this. When you go on the website though, the only way they will explain anything is to direct you to filling out a form and the local congregation to you will pay you a visit. God, at times like this I wish I could have stood up for myself more rather than leaving as a 22 year old lesbian who sneaked out the back door and faded. Sometimes I think it would have been worth a spectacular disfellowshipping- I'm being treated as though I've been DFd anyway!

Nah, and I have read somewhere that because I uploaded the one of me that you can see now, the Gravatar one won't override it.
Just feel left out, haha, but I can't even find a place to change my profile pic on this site. Is it now impossible? There's nowhere I can find that deals with profile settings.

I walked out of an Elder's Meeting
by AlmightyDog inwell here goes... i apologize in advance if this turns into a long and disjointed rant, but i just have to begin typing in order to keep from exploding.
i realize that what im about to say could seriously jeopardize my anonymity, but i think ive reached the point that i just dont care.
i want this to be over.. let me explain what caused me to rip up a letter and get up and walk out in the middle of an elders meeting two weekends ago.. our boe has been embroiled in a nasty fight for the past 2 years over a certain brothers business dealings.

Been a while since I was posting on here; how come most of you have the hand-drawn avatar things? Do you make your own? Where are they from?
Cheers.

Lee- I'd really like to read your blog but I can't open the page. Freeminds freezes whenever I go onto it. Are you having simlar problems or is there an issue because I am viewing from the UK?
I would very much like to read your views, therefore if you would be good enough to PM me with some of your blog I would definitely read it.
Faundy.
