the chelmsford project in the uk has already come to a halt and every one has been sent home.

the bethel family in london is to be cut by several hundred.

my impression is that most ambitious youngster in the org dream of being involved with the building program.

Sounds like that the Watchtower may want to sell quickly? Seems if 1,600 Bethelites have been announced dispensable, that many would start making plans now for any other options as soon as possible, and not necessarily wait ?

Rumor Confirmed!: Bethel Downsize First Hand

i just texted a very good remote worker friend, said i heard that there is a reduction in force coming at bethel and i hoped he wouldn't be affected.

he said its true, its not a rumor.

Will this scare or motivate rank & file to accept a new "decree" that 10% tithe necessary now , but only a short time. (To restore building work and to restore laundry service for bethelites )

Brooklyn Layoffs and Halt to Kingdom Hall construction projects

a good source just just told me that at morning worship today that the governing body announced that a total of 1600 bethelites will be let get go and not transferred to warwich when the last property is sold in brooklyn and all kingdom hall building projects are on hold for at least a year so that all the focus will be on the preaching work.

so today i'm watching cbs news coverage of the popes visit to america.

first, let me say i'm not religious at all at this point in my life.

still a few things stood out to me about the news coverage of his visit.. first thing i wondered was if a gb member happened to garnish this much press (unlikely) what would his message be?
