So glad to see this book for Portuguese! In the seven Portuguese speaking countries (Portugal, Angola, Brazil ((2nd highest Publishers in world)), Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde, Sao Tome) the WT claims strong increases in their 2019 worldwide stats. Hopefully at least the book will expose WT to the non-JWs and prevent some from getting involved in WT lies.

so i am trying to understand if i am the only pomo that experiences the situation where the pimi spouse comes back from a meeting a different personanlity.

it may not be obivious to the untrained eye, but i notice it and i know my sons notice it.

this last round after all the loyalty bs and armagedon bs it's like she has stayed stuck in it.

Don Adams has passed away

i received a call from a friend in new york city that don adams passed away late last evening (30 dec 2019).

many of you bethelites know him and he was the president of the society for a number of years after the gb got out of the corporate structure business.

from what i understand, he was generally liked by many there.. some in my family knew him.

Thank you for posting. I met Don in '69 at Bethel, visiting my brother for a week. He was the table head of my brother then. My brother made an arrangement for me to work with his fun housekeeper there for a week. I was a pioneer for 5 years then. I was happy I could count the time as a fun easy thing at the time. One day Don asked if I was considering coming to Bethel. I was surprised as I had never considered that, didn't know any single girls called in, except for my brother's housekeeper. Don and his wife (Dee) were very pleasant. Later, (as I was at Bethel 5 years) I met Don's brothers, Karl and Joel. They too were humble and pleasant.

this is what my children tell me... get over the whole jehovah's witness thing!

yes, they tell me they have gotten over the whole thing and they tell me that and i need to also.

my exgirl friend who was raised as a jw also has said the same thing.. my children say they got over it, however they are quick to point out how messed up their lives are now because of no college education and other missed opportunities.

If someone stole from you, say maybe $1000, you get over it. If someone made you make a jump and you fell and got a broken arm, you get over it. However, if a thief stole your (and uncountable others) house and life savings and this person is responsible for the death of uncountable lives AND yet this thief unfazed runs freely throughout the world to continue with their fraud and cost of uncountable lives, I will not get over it!

However, we must try, to develop ourselves with positives for our health, and a joy to share with our loved ones. I, too, have had to make an effort to not discuss anything about this "thief" with a family member who was once a JW.

A question on this HuB, notice at timing of 6:10 ,,show how many congs. in Aruba, Canada, and U.S. ??? Shows extremely 'low' count of congs on their screen, quite low compared to formerly 'printed' stats on 2018 service yearbook. ???

(is this just reports updating as they come in- sort of 'depending on timing' thing? - )

Seems they may be running out of any existing "partakers" that can even replace their existing GBs as they age, and lack any impressive speaking 'television' projection ability, and sanity. Though their "remnant" numbers may be increasing, any impressive "remnant" doesn't exist. I wonder if a modern day "Rutherford" (person or group) will step up and try to take over!
