So literature deliveries to be every 8 weeks instead of every 4 weeks. So if they run out of literature short of the 8 weeks, then no literature till next run. -

thx cognitive for your bravery at this time. Did this ban mean that no money can be sent into India from the Watchtower Society (New York). Does also mean JWs India Branch cannot send money out to the Watchtower Society (New York)? How many Bethelites in India Branch? And how many will be dismissed, now that no printing will be done there? Or, will there still be printing the leaflets there yet?
2014 Service Report shows 39,355 Avg. Pubs.

My son acted sick so he wouldn't have to go to the meeting
so glad he's got out of that (for now),, thankfully he has you as his way out and is luckier than most jw kids. Though, tough dilemma for him due to his father yet.
One case, in Arizona, I went to the court with the mom (she, never a JW, contacted me through ex-JW site), for moral support. She married an JW (raised in but not active), had children. Divorced. He went back to JW world. There was shared custody, but she had already full custody on medical (blood issue).
1. She requested that she didn't want the kids to go to JW meetings at all. Of course, the judge did not grant that as the father had right to takes kids to his church. (no surprise there).
2.. She requested to judge for the son not to have a Bible study with any other JW, only the father. (She was counting on the father falling through with that because he had a history of not following through with things), The judge granted that to her.
3. She requested that her children not be baptized into JW. Judge asked the father on JW policy of baptism and the father stated when the child was "mature" enough (by answering certain questions required, etc). (Then, this surprised me.) Judge decreed that if any of the children were wishing to be baptized that the father would have to inform the Court at least 3 months in advance. Then, the Court/he will question the child and will decide if the child is, in fact, "mature" enough.
I didn't have contact with h er again for at least a year. She stated that things were great, The father didn't follow through with Bible study. That they kids weren't really going to JW meetings any more. The oldest, son, was very active in school activities, absolutely planning college and the younger ones were doing great too.
I trust that you will succeed with your son's future. You have a positive life to offer him, a life of freedom of mind and heart, You can show him the joy of real life (though challenging).

Is it true? Heard a rumor WT postphones Disfellowshipping until further notice!!??
by Olivia Wilde ini am not sure if it's true but i heard from a good source that wt has given instructions to elders to postponed disfellowshipping members from wrong doing/gross sin until further instructions given by headquarters.
i heard some jws were just reproved either privately or publically.
has anyone else heard anything like this recently?
-
Gayle
Aren't some countries questioning the organization in the courts about the "disfellowshipping" tool as making their members "captives" and keeping members without their family or friends at a very difficult time in their life?
I know the WT will do nothing beneficial for their members unless the "Law" is breathing down their necks.

Do You Think 10% Tithing is Coming?
by xjwsrock infirstly, there are cash flow problems in wt town.
i don't think it's necessary to list all the cutbacks and layoffs, but there have been many.. their thirst for money seems higher too in my opinion.
more entitled may be a better way of putting it.

They will some way make all feel guilty. That it is R & F fault that needy congs in world cant get a KH, that the poor cant have a wondrous convention together, That the poor can't get some literature or Bible. They will blame everyone else and apostates. Their guilt methods can be very powerful. But then the org, builds or upgrades their "vaticans.," -

Print out and give him a copy:
http://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/15-minute-guide-to-truth.php
Tell him check: jwfacts.com
a good initial source with simple layout, quoting WT literature.

Too Much Discontent in Congregation Part 1
by Simon Templar ini am seeing and hearing many, many long-time jws openly expressing problems with either the watchtower society itself, the publications, changing doctrine, incorrectly living their lives as a result of bad doctrine, the behavior of the boe and other related things.
i will share some of these things in several posts, because there are just too many of them.
the complaints that i hear from publishers and pioneers are many.
-
Gayle
Are their complaints just at the 'local' level? That was common even many years ago. But do they possibly still think 'but at the top' - at Bethel headquarters all is near 'perfect.' -

Brooklyn Bethel Tours Through The Roof
by freemindfade inwas speaking with someone last night who just recently toured the us bethel's.
the brooklyn tour i heard was awful, very limited and disappointing and conducted by a local pioneer and not even a bethelite.
well from what they are telling the folks on the tour since the tm3 bit encouraging (guilting) people about going to disneyland on vacation when you haven't visited bethel, monthly tours went from 6000 to 16000!

Are there any mini tours upstate at this time? Some curious to do a little drive north to Warwick, etc. too while they're in the state? -

Possible reason for cancellation of book study in homes.
by Amelia Ashton inthis was posted on fb.. so guys, i'm gonna share something with you all that i think you should know.
i've only told two people about this (one being john cedars) for fear of getting this guy into trouble, but it's very telling and will reaffirm your "ttatt faith!
a couple of weeks ago, i had to have an "ability to protect" assessment by a gentleman from a company that also investigates child protection policies etc.

I suspect all this dismissing Bethelites, DOs/COs, and Special Pioneers has something to do with some legal status requirements for their long term aging and health care. -

Kingdom Consolidation and Sales are coming – Reliable Source
by thedepressedsoul ini heard form a reliable source that a kingdom hall consolidation is going to be happening in the us.
currently they are looking at every kingdom hall to see if they could and should sell it.
any kingdom hall that has not been updated and is in a bad location (long driveway, not in a visible location etc...) will be sold.
-
Gayle
I just checked "Yellow Pages" for Arizona. Kingdom Hall listings ( It didn't show double entries for multiple congs.). Showed 142 Kingdom Halls and one Assembly Hall. According to jw.org there's about 200 congs. in Arizona (for English & Spanish - about (very approximately), 10 or more for 'small' group congs. of other langs.) So that would be about 1.4 congs. per KH.
I checked all other U.S. states, through "Yellow Pages" and got 8,255 listings of KHs. I think could be close. That would put 1.7 congs per KH.
