  in the last 5/6 years, i've read many threads, some made me laugh , others sad such is life , but was a very pleasant experience.

  so i though it was time to introduce myself a bit.. im portuguese although living in the u.k. atm.

  So happy for you truly! So awesome to have analyzed so much and researched a lot. You saw the key to not get baptized. I assume your father is not an elder or ministerial servant? I expect there is quite a trend of parents who have grown children not baptized, or not active any longer, that are struggling, but still secretly have contact with their grown inactive children.

  Changes and why

  so far these are all the recent changes i know of, please add more if i have missed anything.. 1. all construction projects have either been stopped or reduced.. 2. all bethels are downsizing by at least 20% within one year of the announcement, and almost certainly more in years to come.. 3. remaining belelites will have to make their own food, do their own washing and cleaning.. no more laundry department, no more kitchen and waiters, no more housekeeping!.

  and you still only get 80 per month, but no rent or bills, and food will be provided in the family fridge but you have to prepare it yourself.. as to why, it has been said several times officially its not because of a lack of funds, but how could that possibly be the truth?.

  can you imagine laundry day,,& the fights over the wash & dryer? irons, & ironing boards,,laundry detergent, softener, stain removal,,,buying groceries,,cooking fiascos, cleaning washing dishes, fighting over the vacuum, etc. etc. (

  last night we were invited to a get-together with quite a few heavies attendingelders and regular pioneers.

  there was beer and later some music.

  everyone got relaxed and let down their guard and starting talking all kinds of non-theocratic stuff that you only discuss after a few beers.

  really shows the cult "group control mentality" of JWs. They never go along with 'other' (non-jws) groups, but totally follow the group among JWs.

  The "group" mentality control really works for the WT org. Though now I wonder when some to most goes digital, not in a closed room environment with devout JWs, what will happen to the mind control tactics of WT? These videos or sorts, ones maybe will be able to push "pause," or not, run to bathroom, fix something to eat, take a phone call? then, tired, fall asleep on the nearby couch. All that will break the dulling mind hypnosis.

  This will no doubt be more convenient and cheaper for some (foreign language, ill, elderly, and isolated groups (?)) to not have to go to conventions, special programs too. Perhaps the foreign languages are not donating enough for the expense of assemblies/conventions??

  Makes me think about this trend. Will assemblies and conventions decrease?.
  

  The question is of the 'social' aspect of this. Although many will find this convenient, probably most need the social contact, meeting people, the 'not so feeling alone' as a JW locally. The youth, being social, will more turn toward the non-JW contacts at school. After all, it is not healthy for children to be so alone and they need to have "friends." But, to be sure, GB really don't care about youth, only that they "publish" and donate their ice cream money and get baptized young.

  So literature deliveries to be every 8 weeks instead of every 4 weeks. So if they run out of literature short of the 8 weeks, then no literature till next run.

  No more printing of WT and Awake in my country.. Shit just got real

  a letter was just read in out kh stating that all printing of wt and awake is ceased for the coming year and we will just place tracts on fs, countries which were cared by our branch will be cared by other countries...along with this they read the new fs form and stuff about reporting links of videos wtf..lol.

  i can't tell which country perhaps that will give away a lot, any one with a similar information.

  thx cognitive for your bravery at this time. Did this ban mean that no money can be sent into India from the Watchtower Society (New York). Does also mean JWs India Branch cannot send money out to the Watchtower Society (New York)? How many Bethelites in India Branch? And how many will be dismissed, now that no printing will be done there? Or, will there still be printing the leaflets there yet?
